There are 850 users on-line right now...

And people are trying to say that this site is not dying? I remember a few years ago, at the exact same time as it is today, there would be thousands of people on-line at all times of the day and the forums would actually be active. But, now with the over powered mods, terrible reviews, and glitchy forums this site has started to slide. Is anyone else sad to see how Gamespot, the once giant, has now become a sad and boring place?

Its is called a previous account. I left for about 2 years then decided to comeback on with a new account. Doubt I will be staying long though.

They used to count the GameFAQs users as well, now that count only includes GameSpot users.DrSponge

there were way more ppl on this site when i joined, some i only see when gaming ( friends list ), many of them refuse to come back for various reasons... racist, too many kids, mods abusing their power and fanboys. i can't say that i blame them but there are still a few cool dudes left. i started cutting back on my posting too because ppl seem to be stuck in a time loop with their redundant topics and uncontrollable urges to argue about nonsense.

I don't remember the statistics at 7 in the morning. However, it could easilly get up to 5-10,000 during the day.

Well, over the years, everything except the forum community has become terrible. The site itself is glitchy, reviews and reviewers have no personality, the rating system goes in increments of .5, and a lot of great users have left.

The only thing that has really changed is the number of funny posts in OT. I hate to bring it up again but its always religion, politics, or girl advice. Anyone who posts in SW knows that place has gone drastically down the tubes compared to OT though.

In the 5 years before I made my account I would read system wars occasionally, and there was always an interesting debate. Now.... I don't even know how to describe it :(

people complain. it's just what we do.

when people have it as good as most North American's do, we gotta find problems where there aren't any.

this website is much more active than most that I've been to... and it's porn free!

there are problems with GameSpot, mainly with reviews. But the forums are consistently a bright spot.

I post mostly in my main Union, we're a pretty tightly knit group. But I stop by OT from time to time and I love the community, no complaints at all.
