Wow. That's not good.

alright, put that street name in google maps and use the satellite, then move the camera to the right, and you can see where the fire started early yesterday. now its traveled down the mountain and theres smoke over all teh buildings on teh bottom left of teh island..
These were taken from my apartment in Aiea on the island of Oahu. You can see the smoke on the horizion of the mountain. I didn't even know there was a fire until I just came home and read this thread a few minutes ago.
Quickly, run east towards the- oh, wait. Run North 'til you get to the- nevermind. Maybe, if you went Southwest, and took a left, you'd- nope. water there too.
You're doomed.
Wow, you are complaining about smoke that isn't even blowing your way. Several months back in Florida over 1,000 fires went on at once. Hundereds that where actually of pretty decent size and one that almost expanded the entire Georiga and Florida border. As for the hurricanes, try getting four major ones in one summer. Hope everyone is OK but thats not much to get upset about.cubeman

You're cool
I used to live in Hawaii (Oahu) and I just spoke to some of my friends that live there. They said its not that bad.....-OpaK-
It's not bad at all, it's supposed to be kind of windy in oahu but on the big island all we've had was a little rain.

oahu? Wow, that's the answer I needed to my crossword puzzle. Four letters long, city in hawaii, starts with an "o".
From those pictures, it doesn't look like you're going to be in too much danger. Good luck.

What sort of fire defense do you have. If it's in brush at the moment some water bombers would come in handy. By where I live, we have the two Mars Bombers, modified war planes, and biggest water bombers in the world. They respond to fires all over North America. How fast can fires spread near where you are? I'd imagine that roads would be rather limiting to the fire. Either way, I hope there's not too much damage. Good luck, but hopefully you won't need any luck.
