I don't think 10k parties should be done, it's nothing special anymore. 25, 50, 75 and 100k should all be celebrated however.

People always post in those threads - you just have to say "Congrats" and perhaps make a comment about the "party". Post count +1, no hassle.

Well anyway I dont know for sure about others, but its bad that so many things can be seen as efforts to raise post count; like responding to such threads which I do very often even if I dont know the user that holds it everytime, all that well.
