We have two guys who moved in next door. My issues with the two gentlemen is that they argue a heck of a lot and yell constantly. Every week we can hear yelling and doors slamming and crying and all sorts of stuff. One night, one of the guys threw the others clothes out the window. They're nice when they are not fighting, but unfortunately, these two fight more than anyone I know.

They also own a Pit Bull who they keep off a leash. I was outside with my son one day and the dumb dog jumped over the wall separating our houses (It's a small wall) and started running towards my son growling, I stepped in between my son and the dog. The dog took one look at me and drooped his head and ran the other way. I know the dog could sense I meant business and if the dog came any closer to my son, bad things were about to happen to him. Pit Bull or no, I would have grabbed that dog by the skull and slammed him against the wall. I think that dog knows better; every time he sees me, he stays well clear.

Not to mention, they never mow the lawn. It's like a jungle out there. I've already had go over their house a couple times when I noticed trash that wasn't ours in our yard and had them pick up their own garbage.

I amgetting tired of dealing with these two constantly.

What would other users on GS do if these two moved next door?

Are you in an apt or a house? At apt I would notify the leasing office, at house I would the HOA.

Call the police or a community organization. Some towns (like mine) impose lawn length ordinances and the like.

Call animal security to get rid of the dog.
Call the cops whenever they're making too much noise.

Are you out of shape? If you are you could start sunbathing, or mowing the lawn in the nude. Hey, if you have to put up with their ****, they should be able to put up with your pasty white jelly rolls greeting them each morning.

Sure I would. I think you have it the other way around though. The dog doesn't dare growl in my face

Keep in mind though, when it comes to protecting my son, an amazing transformation takes place. I become a cross between Superman and the Incredible Hulk. Bullets bounce off my chest, my shirt rips and I turn green. It really is quite amazing.

Poison hot dogs outside the door to knock the guys out for a while. Then you can bust in Rambo style and wrassle the dog until you both tire out and sign a restraint order.

Glad to hear this, I hate people who buy vicious dogs and can't take care of them. There used to be this dog who hid under a bush in a hole he dug. When people walked by, he would jump out, and walk away with a proud look on his face. The lady did nothing about it until he dissapeared.

That is correct. These two guys are homosexual and are open about it. I just didn't mention it since that really isn't the problem I have with them.

That pitbull would destroy you if you tried fighting it. Those things are near unstoppable when they are fighting seriously. It would kill you and your son, so I suggest you dont do anything stupid.

It seems that Pit Bull would think otherwise if you could ask it. First rule of thumb is don't mess with another man's son. Remember that Superman - Incredible hulk thing I mentioned earlier in the thread. It really happens. No joke!

As far as don't do anything stupid. Protecting my son IS NEVER doing something stupid.

Have you confronted your neighbors about the dog thing? I mean, if a Pit bull runs about and bites somebody there's going to be a lawsuit, at least. :|

Voice your concerns to them first. Tell them that you don't appreciate their trash finding its way into your yard. Tell them about the dog. I know that most cities and smaller towns have ordinances concering the keep of animals, and when it comes to canines, Pit Bulls are meant to always be properly maintained. Meaning, they should be on a leash, and when out in public, a leash with a muzzle is required. I would mention that the fence separating your yards is low enough for the dog to jump over and enter you yard, which puts you and your family into danger. You could also say that even though it is none of your business, ask for them to consider the fact that you as well as other neighbors within the immediate vicinty may not appreciate public displays and outbursts of violent behavior, or even hearing it while they are on in the confines of their own home. I'd just say voice your concerns to them in a polite yet stern manner.

If all else fails, go through the proper channels. Notify the proper authorities or the HOA, landowners (if you or they rent the property), etc etc.

At least they don't mow the grass at 10:30 at night. This kid I knew in high school lived next to some guy who was obsessed with his garden in the backyard (he said there was so many plants and trees it was literally a mini jungle), so one time the guy decided to mow his grass at 10:30 at night.

Are they partners, and not the best buddy type?

If they are, send them a bouquet of flowers and some fresh baked baguette and say: "welcome to the neighborhood!"

My girlfriend and I did exactly the same, a few months ago, to our neighbors right next door in our apartment. They (2 guys) didn't seem friendly, but after a bouquet of flowers, some red wine and fresh baked baguettes (we live above a french bakery), actually really made them open up.

Yes, because all same sex couples are the same... :x

That's just plain ignorant.

Dude, best bet is call the cops next time they start yelling. There isn't really anything else you can do.
