Yah my wife has been wanting to move into a newer apartment and I don't really want to. The location of our place is better and cheaper. The apartment complex we live in now is a bit old but not that bad. She just wants nice newer stuff. I guess it is alright I just don't want to deal with moving and pay more for rent when we can be saving that money. Oh well I guess I am doing it anyways because I love her.

What have you done that you really didn't want to but do because your girl wants to?

LOL! That made me mad... Or when she'd turn off my music because «She couldn't concentrate», no permissions asked, and then she just stays there doing nothing... uh, what are you concentrating about again?

What? Are you married?!?! There is no real compromise in a marriage. If you "win" an argument it's only because she's letting you think you won. Let her have what she wants, you'll be happier in the long run.

IMO you got it wrong... The thing is, with woman, if you let them decide about everything, they'll complain that you don't decide about anything and don't do anything... You're not manly enough... BUT, if you do decide and do what you want, they'll complain that you don't respect them, you're to independant, etc.

In the end, you're always wrong... they play the culpability card perfectly.

Well, the fact that you're always wrong when it comes to women is a given. I think it might be in the Bible somewhere but it's as much a physical law as gravity. I'm just saying it's best to kind of let go of your dignity before you get married so you're not so disappointed when she crushes it.

Well I am married. And it is about compromise. If you BOTH dont compromise, the relationship is as good as dead within a few years (if you lucky to even last THAT long). I like listening to what my husband wants, I want to know. I also tell him what I want. Then we discuss the best way to go about it. Like recently, for an example, we needed to buy drapes cause our projector was too washed out during the day. He said what kind he wanted, I said what we needed, AND what I wanted. We both kept that in mind when we shopped and found drapes we both liked, and they work like we need them to. What could have been a huge fight ended up in a great working compromise. Sometimes, no it doesnt work like that, but we have found that its worked most of the time for us. I have compromised a lot with him. I have sacrificed a lot for him, and he for me. And though sacrifices can hurt sometimes, we are both happy in the long run.

I don't see the point of moving from one rental unit to another to pay higher rent. If the place you are living in is fine I suggest you convince her to stay. The money you save can be used to invest in a property that you both own. There is no benefit in paying rent.

I dont think i would do too much for a woman anymore. i mean the last woman i broke my back for (lets just say I'm a pretty good wrestler, 5th in europe my junior year to be exact), i gave up my senior year of wrestling for her, to get a job so i could save up money for us to get married and live together (which she agreed happily too), and then the broad dumps me 17 days after i propose to her...aint that some crap? So, IMO, i wouldnt give too much for a girl, cus i gave up everything for one, and ended up just getting a broken heart out of it. So gentlemen, and ladies as well, before careful with what you're giving up, cus you might regret it in the long run.

Basically anything I do outside of gaming and music is done because my girlfriend wants to :P

I never went to church in my life and I had to go with her when we were visiting her family. I didn't burst into flames while walking in, which was unexpected. However...I really wanted to flame the priestly guy because he was a dumb dumb. Saying things like Bhuto was an assassinated Palenstinian leader and that Palenstianians are crazy like that.

She was Pakistani.

I actually encourage my BF to bring along his handheld when we have to go shopping together. Most times I try to be merciful and do it with my GF's instead. If I know he hates it why drag him along, it won't be fun for either of us. Most other situations, like this one, usually have a compromise if you take the time to look for it. I am not a big fan or country music, and he is. We went to see Garth Brooks, and as a compromise he took me to see Korn. :)

Playing World of Warcraft with him.

I do enjoy it, but only for an hour or two a day. He could go on all day if he wanted to, and I suspect he has at some point.

The person who said compromise is the key got it right. After 14 years of marriage we have not had a single fight. If we have a disagreement, we talk it through until both of us are happy.
