I've stumbled across this book and everybody is saying that the first story is the scariest thing they have ever read, I'm a lil' short on cash right now so I don't plan on getting it any time soon. To anyone that has read it, can someone explain to me what happened? I heard that you're supposed to interact and follow instructions, alot of people apparently bailed on the final step due to getting too creeped out.

And to those that don't know what I'm talking about, here is the link to it's website:

i have not read the book because i am a wuss :) and im not buying it because it might be a spam, but i heard that the instructions are to go in a room alone with the book and the first chapter the magic, dim the lights just to the point were you can just see the writing, shut the door and lock it (i dont think you have to lock it but it does make it more scary so yeah) and then read on until you reach the first instruction: 1: Put your ear to the door, you can hear The Devil breathing. 2: You will hear The Devil knocking on your door. 3: (The scary one which most people bail on)... Invite him in. Weather the book is true and you really invite Satan into the room, or Weather it just plays with your mind, i dont know but it sounds scary.

I remember that story. People were going on and on about it being so scary is was banned from parts of Europe or something. It honestly wasn't very scary (Of course, I was to lazy to follow the instructions.) Turn down the lights, Lock the door, Keep doing what the book tells you, Put your ear up against the door, You can here breathing. (Or something.) It's been awhile since I've read it, but I think I got some of it right.
