Is he the guy who had the song on that commercial where they drop thousands of bouncy balls down a street in san francisco?

You lucky...
Also check out Private Press, another great album by DJ Shadow.
You can also check out The Outsider, which is another album, but it was a big let down to be honest. Not many Shadow fans like it.

No,don't.The Outsider was horrendous. It didn't even seem like Shadow actually made it...except for This Time(I'm gonna try it my way). All his other albums are just mind blowing, though.Midnight in a Perfect World(my favorite song of all time)

About that DJ Shadow album, I've listened to quite a number of songs from that album and I just don't get what the big deal about it is. It seems very uninteresting to me, I'm probably missing something.Anyway, I'll check out that Jose album. This one changed my life.

Sgt.Pepper made an impact on my life which is "always do something new and be different".
It's indie folk. Jose's guitar playing and song writing is beautiful.
Still haven't heard his first album though.

maybe it will change your life again
im not a huge fan myself... have you heard devendra banhart?
I probably wouldn't have it in my top 10 fave Hip-Hop albums anymore but this is the that album definitely had the biggest impact on me
Totally mellowed me out big time and got me into Hip-Hop, made me a serious music listener.
I'm not trying to start anything here, but can you tell me in what ways these albums have changed your life?
I mean, I listen to music all of the time...but it's nothing life changing.

Who knows? Music gives you new perspectives sometimes, can change the way you think and therefore act if you take it seriously enough.
