Thankfully those changes can easily be reversed and the articles locked if it continues. That is the advantage to having a huge community. The only thing you never use Wiki for is school/university papers.foxhound_fox
I disagree, it's been a lifesaver sometimes.

I use it for my reports all the time. The MLA even has standards for citing sources from WikiPedia so I'm pretty sure it's OK to use it, lol.

I can't really discern what it says on the page because it looks like it's been squeezed to fit the page....
But yeah I have to say, it totally depends on the subject. When there's a topic with lots of controversy or animosity between a few groups, you're much more likely to have a page vandalized than say an article about Finnish snow.

My computer science professor cites wiki every lecture. He even considers putting up his lecture notes on wiki. Of course if something is as absurd as 'your mom' for sales figures you can logically assume that it is wrong. I just can't see anyone wanting to mess with some ambiguous article which a relatively small poulation (one who would correct any mistake) use. The internet is a great source, as long as you are not easily swayed into believing rubbish, and have some background to what you are searching. That said textbooks win all the time, but the internet is usually quicker and easier to find info on.
lol. once somebody wrote something about machester united being a rubbish football team (soccer to us user)NSR34GTR
what kind of crap is that?

You can use wiki, just include the sources from the bottom of the page and your right i find.
 This reminds me of a time when i was a diehard PS3 fanboy, and i edited a arcticle about 360,PS3 and Revolution (What it was called before it was given the name Wii) i bashed 360 and Wii so hard
Good thing i'm a lot more mature now than i was then :o :P
[QUOTE="blackngold29"]I removed it, they're getting better at automatic valdalims reverts, but you can never be perfect. Wikipedia is very good educational tool, but I don't believe things without a reliable source.shoeman12
oh, come on, why'd you have to ruin our fun?
You got the pic, I agree it's funny, but as a user/member/editor of wikipedia I will do what I can to remove vandalism. Please Log In to post.
