Incidentally a similar item is in every GPS system,and it is ILLEGAL to let the consumer remove it as well.

sheesh. Are we really suprised? The marketing will make it the next 'can't live without this' trend. It will be made way kewl. Like digital tv signal transmisson-something no american got to really vote about.

Good on Germany for doing that. The LAST thing we need is for the government to be tracking our every single move. I think these tracking devices should be made illegal.
