Suprisingly absolutely no one, Saw IV took the top spot this week with an estimated $32.1 mil take, but just a million and change short of Saw 3's opening of $33.6 mil, which still makes it the top moneymaker in the series so far. Dan In Real Life, the other new release this week, opened with $12.1 mil. Everything else are holdovers from last weekend.
Hopefully for next Halloween, maybe one of the other studios will gorw a pair and release a horror flick to compete with the Saw films, mabye give the filmgoers a choice on Halloween weekend instead of releasing the same old thing year after year. Whatever happened to horror movies where monsters used to eat stupid teens making out? Ahh, the good old days...
Nex week, Denzel Washinton and Russel Crowe star in the crime drama American Gangster, DreamWorks releases its latest animated feature Bee Movie, and John Cusack stars in Martin Child. Have a Happy Halloween, and egg a house or two for me.
