The Following is from IMDB.com:

1National Treasure: Book of Secrets (2007) $20.2M $171M

2I Am Legend (2007) $16.4M $229M

3Juno (2007) $16.2M $52M

4Alvin and the Chipmunks (2007) $16M $177M

5One Missed Call (2008) $13.5M $13.5M

6Charlie Wilson's War (2007) $8.18M $52.6M

7P.S. I Love You (2007) $8.02M $39.4M

8The Water Horse: Legend of the Deep (2007) $6.3M $30.9M

9Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street (2007) $5.4M $38.5M

10Atonement (2007) $5.12M $19.2M

With One Missed Call being the ONLY major fim thatopened this weekend, I'm glad to see that Juno managed to make it in the top 5...but, why the **** is Alvin & The Chipmunks STILL on the list?! If anyone sees this movie for "nostalgia value", you need to do the rest of the world a favor and have yourself sterilized. We don't need more people seeing crap like this. And if you know any little kids who wanna watch it, try to steer them to doing something a little more constructive with their time. Eating lead-based paint chips is always good for a few chuckles.

Next week might be a good weekend to stay home and rent a movie of the XXX variety, considering what's opening. Ice Cube gives up what street cred he has left with First Sunday, the kiddies have The Pirates Who Don't Do Anything: A VeggieTales Movie to look forward to...and Uwe Boll prepares to relax his bowells and lets loose another cinematic turd, In The Name Of The King: A Dungeon Siege Tale. For anyone out there reading this, I implore you whatever you do, PLEASE don't waste your money on this film. There are plenty of other movies worth your time, but this isn't one of them.

If you must, wait for it on video. I know that I've spouted hatred for certain movies, but none deserve it more than him. I'd rather watch Epic Movie, Date Movie, White Chicks and Little Man all in a row than watch ANY film by Boll.

What does that tell you?

It's another American remake of a Japanese horror film.

He could have Al Pacino in it and it would stillhave 12 different shades of suck in the movie. Boll couldn't direct traffic on a one-way street. As far as Postal's release date, he claims it will be released this June. Smart move releasing a P.O.S. movie during the summer blockbuster season. He honestly believes it can compete with the major studio heavies being released at that time.

lol yeah he ain't gonna make money from anyone except for possibly me because I think it looks so incredibly stupid that it might actually be a really funny movie.

Anyways, its good to know that people like Boll can get work in Hollywood. Means I have a great chance at becoming a director as I know I will make stuff sooo much better than the POS he puts out.

The reason I despide Bool so much is that he's the type of filmmaker who ONLY sees dollar signs when it comes to making movies. He makes films because he knows he can make a fast buck on them. All other aspects of filmmaking is a secondary thought to him...if, in fact,he honestly cares about them.

A PG-13 "horror" film filled jump-scares is almost ALWAYS guarenteedto get the teenage crowd in the seats, regardless if it's actually scary or not. It's almost like printing money.

Yeah...I was listening to a podcast about new movies this year, and they said that it's a remake of a Japanese horror movie that clearly doesn't take itself seriously. The major problem is that the people who remade it are trying to take it seriously...:?

I know I hate him as a filmaker too, but I can't help but see his sucess as a sign of hope that I can actually make it in the industry...

I'll give you the benifit of the doubt. You should do just fine. :D

IDK, I want to make well thought out films that will hopefully get people to think. Those don't always do so well nowadays...
