With One Missed Call being the ONLY major fim thatopened this weekend, I'm glad to see that Juno managed to make it in the top 5...but, why the **** is Alvin & The Chipmunks STILL on the list?! If anyone sees this movie for "nostalgia value", you need to do the rest of the world a favor and have yourself sterilized. We don't need more people seeing crap like this. And if you know any little kids who wanna watch it, try to steer them to doing something a little more constructive with their time. Eating lead-based paint chips is always good for a few chuckles.
Next week might be a good weekend to stay home and rent a movie of the XXX variety, considering what's opening. Ice Cube gives up what street cred he has left with First Sunday, the kiddies have The Pirates Who Don't Do Anything: A VeggieTales Movie to look forward to...and Uwe Boll prepares to relax his bowells and lets loose another cinematic turd, In The Name Of The King: A Dungeon Siege Tale. For anyone out there reading this, I implore you whatever you do, PLEASE don't waste your money on this film. There are plenty of other movies worth your time, but this isn't one of them.
