If she doesn't even live in the same country as you, move on...

My thoughts?

It never works and is a gigantic waste of time and effort. All the time you would waste "wanting" her would be better spent "having" someone else.

speaking from experience.

Unless your going to end up meeting her soon in her country or in yours and stay with each other. It's going to end up failing.

really really don't wanna be a downer. just what i've gone through.

If you agree to sleep with other people it may work, if you don't it won't.

Don't believe the others easily. I ahve a long distance relationship too and its working well. It's just a matter of values, trust, and well, love. If you truly love each other and want to be with each other, it will/may work. Some may say it's wishful thinking, others impractical, but I tell you there are millions out there who has long distance relationships. :)

It only works if you intend to meet up with her eventually (preferably sooner rather than later). Until then, there are countless means of keeping in contact. Skype, Windows Live Messenger, Facebook, Twitter, Gmail, Meebo, TokBox, and so on. It's really easy being part of each other's lives that way, but like it has been said, one of you has to make the final step and meet up eventually.

I don't really have any strong thoughts on long distance relationships. I've been in a few myself, and I don't really regret the time and energy I focused on them. Ultimately, they didn't work out, but I'd imagine that's probably the case with most relationships. If she's really worth a long distance relationship to you, then great, go for it and good luck.

I know of RockMelt, that be it. No idea how it knows Jandurin's friends without him having a Facebook account.

If it began as a non-long distance relationship, and there is a guarantee of you two being back together physically; I would continue. If there is the opposite of that, probably won't last.

One of my best buds is ina long distance relationship. From what i can tell he gets so depressed because he cant see her...

Thats what he tells me. Not sure if i have any concrete thoughts on this... Because i guess it could differ in certain situations. My friend says he mayhave to wait three years to see his gf.... To me that would be tough....

It will only work out if both parties make it work. You know, the same with all relationships. Long distance just excludes the physical contact. I would suggest try to stay in your own country but whatever floats your boat. There is no set rules on how relationships work, some people just think that they know it all. Maybe you guys will never meet and both are just as happy. A bit weird, but whatever.
