The myth goes that Jesus died on the cross at around midday on Friday and rose from the dead three days later. Since when does that mean he was resurrected the following Sunday?
I say, quite the predicament.

It says that he rose on the third day so that actually means that he was dead for 48 hours and on the next 24 hours he rose.

Then he would be dead that Sunday and have risen on Monday.[QUOTE="metallica_fan42"]I went back in time and performed CPR on Jesus:|crimsoniI know...I saw you there :| Great! You let out the big secret. :|
Maybe they mean the three days to be the rest of friday, all of saturday, and into sunday, so that it spanned 3 days.bluezyIt's still two days.

It doesnt nessarily mean 3 days, how long ONE day IN THE BIBLE is still undetermined
EDIT: or does this only apply to the old testament?Â

You can't count Friday, the day he died, as the first day of Jesus being dead. It's just...incorrect.psymon_05Why not? He was dead was he not?

No...it's not.
Clearly that is the biggest logical flaw with the Christian faith. Congratulations, you found the single inconsitency in the Bible with the observable world. :lol:SpaceMooseThere is nothing inconsistent. I explained it already.

Well, great then. Pardon me while I go part some seas to get to one of the 4 corners of the Earth. From there I will take a rocket ship and blast off to Heaven.

Where was anything judged? You can't just through words around and expect they mean anything.LJS9502_basic
Well, you basically implied that I am an idiot with the parting hair thing.
Or did I not jump through enough rationalization hoops to interpret it to mean something else entirely? I guess that's why I don't get the Bible either. :roll:Â
