Mitt Romney must be smiling right now.
Update provided by topsemag55: third woman accuses Cain of inappropriate behavior.

Did you see that last compaign ad? Honestly, I'm not surprised.MgamerBDAhhh yes... the rapeface.... that was different.
Did you see that last compaign ad? Honestly, I'm not surprised.MgamerBDI'm surprised it wasn't two kids.
You know who else behaved lewdly toward women? John F. Kennedy. Herman Cain will reclaim Camelot. fidosim
Men acting lewdly towards women in the 60's? Don't be ridiculous.
:P
Well, I read all four pages of that "news" article. Little fact, lots of assertion.
So, Bill Clinton, white democrat, can get hummers from a young intern, while in the Oval Office, and we are told that is a private matter. No sexual harassment there. Oh no no no.
But, Herman Cain, black republican,is accused of making gestures that are "not overtly sexual" and the media can't be bothered to investigate and actually get any facts.
Kind of reminds me of another black republican accused of being a sexual predator based on little or no facts, 10+ years aftersupposedly committing the dastardly acts in question. Can you say Clarence Thomas?
Anyone who does not see this for the ugly smear campaign that it is, does not want to see the truth, imo.
Thomas did get put through the wringer. What I don't like about Cain is his idea that I should pay 9% more for everything I want to purchase. That's a load of crap, I don't want to pay another 9% on top of the state & local sales taxes. Can you say Clarence Thomas?

I'm not sure about the 9-9-9 thing at this point. I want to pull out a couple of previous years tax returns and credit card statements and see how it would affect me. Since I pay for 99% of everything with my credit cards, I think I can get close on what the sales tax portion would do to me. Until then, I am witholding judgement.
I also think there is some validity to the notion that reducing corporate taxes will reduce prices, since all taxes are ultimately paid by the end consumer.
But, leaving all this policy stuff aside, I find this Politico bilge to be a nasty smear. If any media outlet were to release such a vague story about Obama, I'm sure you can imagine the outrage that would be expressed.

Meanwhile while denying that he ever did anything wrong, Cain actually DID admit that the events described by Politico happened. Those two women got HUGE settlements... not usually what happens with a weak claim. @topsemag55: Yeah, and he still got on the SCOTUS. Proud moment as a country... mr pube-on-coke is on the job! Wow. I didn't see a total How huge were the settelements? I didn't see it in the article
So far, the only thing exempted from the 9% are used items (unless he's modified it further). Imagine having to pay another 9% on a new car (in addition to what you pay the state). On a $30,000 car that comes to $2,700.:o In Florida, when you buy food items in a supermarket, there is no sales tax - but Cain would have you pay 9%. We get a sales tax holiday on a lot of back-to-school items, but Cain would take that away.I'm not sure about the 9-9-9 thing at this point. To heck with politics, his actions shamed the Office.

To heck with politics, his actions shamed the Office. Is adultery illegal? Is lying to your wife illegal? I couldnt care less if Clinton was banging 5 women in the office. Whatever he does, he does (assuming it isnt illegal). As long as he gets the economy going I'm good. People have ridiculously high expectations for their elected officials.

Agreed. collegeboy's claim that Clinton got a free pass is absurd.
I could be wrong, but I don't think this is going to hurt Cain too much. From the looks of it, it doesn't appear as if he physical touched either of them or actually did anything. He most likely said something inappropriate and they were offended. Also, you're right about Romney smiling now, but I think in the end Cain has a very good chance of being picked by Romney for VP. Commander-Gree
I don't think it puts Cain out of the race, but it could be problematic. At this point, Cain is running on personality and not substance, which is why something like this could hurt his brand.

I was pointing out the media's hypocricy. The mainstream media and the liberal punditry went on and on and on and on about how Clinton's escapades were a private matter and Ken Starr was just on a witch hunt.
But a couple of gals get upset over what probably amounted to some locker room humor or gestures, squeel loud enough to get a pay-off to just shut up and go away and BAM - its the biggest story in news.
Personally I couldn't care less who Bill was getting his hummers from. In fact, looking and the Hildabeast, can't say I blame him. But for gods sake, take your nasty business somewhere else besides the oval office. Have some god damn decency for christs sake.
And don't ya find it kind of troubling that the two most recent attempts by liberals to bring down a conservative black man center around the idea the he is some kind of sexual predator?

The house repubs went extra hard trying to get him impeached for perjuring himself in front of a grand jury. And all the while the media and the liberals in this country ridiculed them for going after Clinton over a "private" matter.
Last I looked, perjury is a crime. Even if you are lying about a hummer.

The race card is tiresome.
You have no idea whether these claims are true or false, so your line about "bringing a conservative black man down" is not very persuasive. The media is well within their rights to report on accusations. Nowhere did the article say that Cain was absolutely guilty.
Also, unless the media totally ignored the Clinton stuff, your argument doesn't have a leg to stand on.

He got a free pass from the national media (fox news wasn't around yet)
He got a free pass from the so-called National Organization for Women. In fact one of their leaders referred to Paula Jones as trailer trash.
He got a free pass from everyone in his party. Not a single democrat condemned him for doing the nasty in OUR white house, or for perjuring himself in front of a grand jury. The chief law enforcement office of the USA lies in a court proceeding and no one, no one in his party expressed any concern.
Yeah, he got a free pass from a lot of the people who are now, with great seriousness, demanding Cain "answer the allegations".
Phhht. Give me a break.

collegeboy and Rush Limbaugh pretty much show that conservatives are perfectly willing to play the race card when it suits them.

Again, what are you talking about? The media didn't rise up and defend Clinton in the fashion you are describing, and if they did it came long after they already jumped all over him for the first allegations. And this isn't 'the biggest story' in the news, it barely got much coverage on CNN this afternoon and is barely on the front page of CNN or MSNBC.
Also targeting black men as predators? Compared to what...liberals like Weiner getting forced out of office for sending a picture? Yeah...liberals don't ever face punishment or scrutiny for what they do  Honestly playing the 'race card' here is ridiculous, and you are blowing this more out of proportion than the media is even doing.
