T-I

District Judge has sentencedT.I.to serve 11 more months in prison for violating his probation, reps for the rapper confirm.

T.I. and wife Tameka "Tiny" Cottle were arrested in early September on suspicion of drug possession during a traffic stop. He was already on probation after serving a term behind bars for a 2008 weapons conviction.

According totheAtlanta Journal-Constitution, T.I. told the court that "I screwed up bigtime, and I'm sorry. I'm truly and sincerely sorry. I don't want and I don't need to use drugs anymore. I want them out of my life." But U.S. District Court Judge Charles Pannell Jr. was not swayed, reportedly stating, "I think Mr. Harris had had about the limit of second chances." T.I. was born Clifford Harris Jr.

A rep for T.I. had no further comment at this time.

I didn't look around to see if this had been posted or not (If it was a mod can feel free and lock it lol), but the timing is a bit odd on this. Wasn't it a few days ago that he talked someone out of committing suicide by jumping off a hotel roof? thoughts? feelings?

I personally don't like T.I or know very much about him, but anyone who makes an effort to stop someone from killing themselves can't be all bad :|

While I am against non-violent offenders (this was a drug charge, yes?) getting such harsh sentences, I am definately for equality and I am happy a celebrity is not getting special treatment.

Now, if we could jsut apply this to stupid pretty girls we'd be all squared up...

It's kind of obvious that most of his motivation to go talk that guy out of suicide was the need to make his public image look better,so that maybe he could win a few brownie points from the court, since he was facing charges for violating parole.Looks like it failed.

Sorry,TI,but the Karma system only works in Fallout 3,not real life.

lol? I'm sure his main motivation was to save a human life. Who could let a person commit suicide without saying anything?

I think you missed his point.i'm pretty sure he meant that it's a pipedream for some celeb(or normal person for that matter)to see on the news that some random person about to attempt suicide, and feel obligded to actually go over and try to talk them out of it.shouldn't that be left for the authorities anyways? the fact that he actually went and did it,and the fact that at the time he was in the middle of a trial seem to be a little too coincidental.

No I didn't miss his point and no I don't think that ran through T.I.'s mind. Who would you rather have talk to down from attempting to kill yourself; some random cop or a superstar rapper? If T.I. was telling me to not kill myself I'd be more inclined to listen.

Why? For a non violent crime of possesion of drugs? I don't think so. He probaably wouldn't have gotten so long except he violated his parole.

Good luck T.I., hope you turn your stuff around and make more music.

Its a bit stupid that he gets 11 months in prison when people like Paris Hilton and Lindsay Lohan have had a ridiculous amount of second chances. I do feel bad because he is one of the few mainstream rappers whose Music I sort of like.

Eh, though it's a bit rediculous just for drug charges, he knew he was on probation (for trying to buy weapons, was it? ) and he was stupid enough to have drugs on him during it.

I think it was; I know, conspiracy theory and such, but let us think about this for a second

What is more likely:

1. There was a man about to jump off a building, and T.I. strolls out of the crowd and says "Hey, let me talk to him! I'm famous!" and the cops said "OMG thank god youre here, T.I.!"

2. Or it was staged.

Both are crazy. But the second option is less crazy. Why on earth would a cop let TI talk a man down?

any kids they have should be taken away that will straighten them up. next this dude clearly has not learned a lesson but the amount of time is slightly harsh I think like 3 months max would have been enough.

Apparantly they worship him in Atlanta (atleast thats what I heard) If the guy isn't in a fragile mental state (I don't know for sure) then I too would say it was a publicity stunt.
