Tips on staying awake at work?

I have run out of anime and movies to watch, and currently as I type this I'm moving in and out of sleep, I'd rather not have my manager see me sleeping on the job again (though I am up to date on all my appointed tasks). No matter how early or how much sleep I get I just can't stay awake in here. Any suggestions?

I was wondering this too...

My friend has a job doing IT support overnight at the University, and they're fine with him watching movies and such, but I think that is extremely rare.

Music (preferably metal) played very loudly. Helps me on my 3:00pm - 11:00pm shift........and I'm also regularly inhaling coffee on the job anyway :P

Laptop can't handle.

Casual games. Diner Dash, Plants vs. Zombies etc. might help keep you awake and pass the time.

Haha well when I do it I'm pretty ruthless, so I end up having alot of spare time :P. I'll try coffee and casual games, I hope it can get me through the day lol.

Heh, well seriously I know the job you guys have can be pretty tough. The job title of the guy we hired is HR manager, but I call him a professional nagger. :P

You could try Kongregate.com for free casual games. Bigfishgames.com has better quality casual games but you'll have to pay.

It's pretty bad when big projects have deadlines. Other than that it's not too bad as long as you keep on top of things.

Eat a lot of fiber so u can take regular BMs. That gets your blood preassure up.

Well, as I said in my OP, I doesn't really matter how much I sleep, it just gets so boring when you are on top of everything. I literally have nothing to do, which is also why I am here posting on GS. Maybe I'm not cut out for office work, but I'm going to go try coffee for the first time.. I'll see if that helps.

Find something else to keep your attention focused. Make a game out of counting spots on the floor/ceiling, or observe people around you (if they are).
