Hai guiz, I have been sick since a week ago. Yeah, a long time has passed and it's troubling me, because I've got this stomach problem which makes me nauseatic. My doctor is out of reach atm, and I have asked the ones I talked to what to do (thankfully I don't throw up anymore but it's probably because I eat too little to prevent vomiting - I have lost weight), but there's nothing that helps me out much.

So yeah, if anyone has any advice to give I'd like it a lot, as I have nausea 24/7.

If it's going on for a week it means something is wrong. Go to a hospital if you can, I bet they'll be of better assitance than anyone here (unless someone here is a doctor).

^ I agree, a normal stomachache does not last that long, you need to go to a hospital it might be serious.

I think any kind of soda helps with the stomach. If you feel like vomitting I suggest drinking coke.

I'll probably do, but I have to wait a couple -or more- of days. And basically I'm not asking for a serious medical advice here (hell, I'd be stupid to do that in a gaming site), but just some tips from guys who've been through that kind of thing before. If it was for 2-3 days I would have no problem, thinking it's just another virus, but this thing will soon close its 10th day...

Seriously, go to the hospital. Any regular stomach flu or virus shouldn't last 10 days. when I get the stomach flu my mom usually makes me eat a banana and drink some ginerale (I hate it though). It sometimes helps. Also some tea helps. But try to go to a hospital, it always better to be on the safe side.

You have a parasite there buddy. You should just bring a stoll sample by a doctors office unannounced.

Come on the guy has Doctor House as his avatar so he knows what he's talking about here lol. I agree tho. Since it has been that long you are clearly sick and not just the average tummy ache... I like to drink 7 up/sprite and get some peptobysmal (i know thats not how you spell it lol)

Drink something carbonated like sprite and honestly sometimes the best thing you can do is throw up cause it will help get whatever is causing it out of your system. Other than that, pepto-bismol and go see a doc.

Oh then I guess this topic has relevance to the vomit/barf swamp section in Earthbound. :P Seriously though, thanks for the tips so far. I'm gonna try them before going to bed (not all of them, or perhaps I'll throw up for sure). I have to wait 2 days before actually visiting a doctor or going to the hospital, but I guess that I'll eventually do that. And finally get rid of that parasite, if it is a parasite that has turned my stomach upside-down. I myself know the basics: eat lightly, healthy and in little amounts, etc.

Eh I don't really control when I throw up and when I will not (and I'm not bothered to force myself throw up or I guess I'll do more damage to me), it happens.

Meh, I was speaking to the fact that you havent eaten much...if you force yourself to eat some bread and drink some sprite you will prolly end up throwing up and it could make you feel better

I thought that sodas help prevent from throwing up; not causing it....

At least thats what I do and it works.

It was a poor explanation on my part. It does help prevent it, as long as you let it go flat...but, depending on the cause of the nausea, the problem could be that your body needs to get rid of the bacteria or whatever and you can't really throw up if there is nothing in your stomach, and if that is the case you're gonna puke regardless of what you put in your body

Drink doogh. It's a persian yogurt drink that really soothes your stomach. Make sure it's mint flavored.

Otherwise, drink flat soda. Do NOT eat anything unless it's a thin soup. Wear loose, comfortable clothes. And make sure you sleep well.

Go to a swimming pool, duck under, see if you can find one of those drain holes. Open it up, then sit on it. Make sure your whole arse covers the hole. Should find the suction will sort your problems out pernamaterly.

Trollish troll is trollish. Anyway, I used Zantac and it works great, so I think it's a great advice to those with nausea.

For pains, I always have natural youghurt, the greek style one, it settles your stomach, also boiling water - obviosuly let it cool down a touch, that puts helps with your stomach lining, which you have probably lost a lot of with all the vomiting.

If you're vomiting and losing weight it could well be gastroenteritis. I'd go to A&E if I were you.

Alright TC I have a very good and serious answer for you considering I went for a MONTH vomiting DAILY and ended up finding out I had a hiatal hernia which I will live with for the rest of my life so I have PLENTY of experience dealing with stomach issues.

First off, don't drink caffeine. It can complicate things by causing things like constipation, which honestly, severe constipation is a possible cause of your problems. As disgusting and embarassing as it can be, if you haven't been going regularly and/or had nothing but diareha you might want to consider taking fiber suppliments or laxatives. You have no idea how bad things can get by your system getting backed up....

Definitely take vitamins especially if you aren't eating much. You need to have your nutrients.

When you go to eat make sure it is something healthy. I use to deal with nausia EVERYDAY because of my stomach problem and was on medication to try and control it. Now I take no meds and I control it simply through my diet and stopping caffeine.

Drink lots of water. If you don't want water, 7-up has always been good for helping settle my stomach. Be careful with orange juice because it is ridiculously acidic so it may upet your stomach. I am thinking vitamin water might be the best thing to drink.

Also, remember that you HAVE to eat. You may throw up but thats something you have to deal with. Your body needs energy and nutrients and sometimes alot of the pain in the stomach can actually be from hunger.

gravol, and stuff like crackers, small amounts of not-too-salty soup, small amounts of bread. at least then if you puke, you have something soaking your stomach acid up so you don't ruin your throat. Kind of sounds like your stomach lining might be infected or inflamed.

What color is your stool? Is it darker than usual?

Are you passing stool on a regular basis? Do you go multiple times within a short time frame? Do you feel as if you have to go but cant when you try?

What consistency is it?

Have you had any bad cases of acid reflux since the problems began?

Are you having irregular gas?

Just trying to make sure you dont have an obstructed bowel or severe constipation which could lead to lesions on the interior of the bowel which can cause internal infections.
