If so how do you like it? Another question I have is that do they hang the Canadian flag in the stores in the US? I think they should hang the flag in the american stores. I personally think they should have kept it up here. So americans: Have you been to Tim Hortons yet, if so how how did you like it?

To all Americans who read this. Remember that Tim Hortons was first big in Canada not America!

I am Canadian to remind you.

It is the biggest fast food chain up here in Canada. It was an old hockey player who opened a Canadian Coffee & Donut Shop a long time ago.

I had a hockey tournament in Toronto last year (first time I've been north of the border). I think I was the only guy on my team that didn't go to one. They were all over the place though. I thought that the US was bad with our chains!

More people should try Timmy's more often. It's pretty affordable, $3.99 for a Chicken salad sandwich + drink + donut. Plus it tastes good to boot.

The only time I've been to one is the time I visited Canada. Can't remember what I ate and whether or not I liked it, though.

I didn't vote, being Canadian and all. I have one 20 seconds from my house, but I am not a coffee drinker. Hot chocolate is good though. All in all, a respectable chain. But didn't they get bought out by Americans now?

When I lived in Cornwall, Ont., there were FIVE timmies in that little town, and they were building another one when I left. They were okay, but nothing like my beloved Krispy Kreme.

You should explain what Tim Hortons is because honestly.. I've never heard of it.. and I really don't think it'll impact my life that greatly even if I had.

For those who don't know, Tim Horton's is (or at least was) a Canadian coffee chain that falls somewhere between Starbucks and Dunkin' Donuts in terms of quality. They're so popular up here that urban legend is they put nicotine in their coffee.

I live in Canada. I live a block from my work. On that same block there is a Tim Hortons, though on the other end, and a Starbucks beside my place of work...

...I always walk to the end of the block for a Tims. Starbucks coffee makes my stomach churn. Plus, It's like, 4 bucks for a...Grande(I think?). Either way, Tim Hortons is the way to go. Trust me, good Americans, Try a Tim Hortons. You wont regret it.

Let me clarify, Tim Hortons is not a fast food place. It's a coffee shop. They sell Coffee and Donuts, and sandwiches, bagels, stuff like that. They don't serve burgers or anything like that.

Do they have a drive-thru? Is the majority of their food prepared before you even order?

Yes, they have a drive thru, and no, most of the food is not prepared before you get there. Yes, the donuts are made, and the bread is baked, but if you order a sandwich, you can watch them make it for you. I've worked at a Tim Hortons. They have soups, sandwiches. All kinds of good stuff.

Kinda. Started with Coffee and Donuts originally, but the Sandwiches and soups sold well, so they kept making more kinds. You kinda just have to experience one.

Timbits in the US are just donut holes, I think. But ours are better, obviously.

They're in Ohio and Michigan. I've been to one - didn't like the coffee at all, but the sandwiches were ok.
