As a Brit, I am not able to vote in your election - so i'll take this time aside to give you a brief reminder of something:

Remember in 2000? When a guy called George Bush ran for office, and the world said that he might not be a good president? And you didn't listen.

Remember in 2004? When a guy called George Bush ran again, and the world said that to re-elect him would be a stupid idea? And you didn't listen.

Now we are in 2008, and we might be able to change things. Stop the war in Iraq. Reduce the amount of pollution that America emits. Build up the economy again. All that stuff.

Now it's John Mccain running for President, and I'm not sure what you think. But all i can say is that if this guy gets elected: I can pull out this thread in four years - and perhaps it will serve as another reminder that Bush failed, and a guy that votes for him over 90% of the time is probably going to do the same.

Take a hint America - Mccain isn't going to work.

The world deserves better than Mccain. Vote Obama.

Thank You

First, I would like to see some proof that McCain will behave the same way as George Bush in office, because I've got the feeling he's slightly more intelligent. :/ Secondly, I think you're overestimating the kind of that Obama will or is able to bring, although I wouldn't mind it if the US stopped messing about in Iraq . . .

considering George Bush doesn't have voting power...I don't see how he could vote alongside him 90% of the time. Now McCain might have voted 'Yes' on a bill that Bush signed off on...but those are two seperate things entirely.

And don't believe the video snippit of John McCain saying he agrees with Bush, because it's edited from a bigger point McCain was making with the statement.

Well I say all the best to you OT guys in the USA, EVERYBODY is watching your election. I don't know enough about either candidate to have much of an opinion so I won't offer one. Either way I don't think you could do worse than Bush. Boy would I like to have the option of being able to vote for someone respectable. Where I'm from we just have the option of choosing the lesser evil and hoping the ballots aren't rigged for once! But hey, c'est la vie :)

Speaking of Obama, Hannity and Colmes last night found a book by Ayers written back in the mid-70's where Ayers dedicated the book to Sirhan Sirhan, the killer of Robert Kennedy, which is quite disturbing. I do not know how some Democrats can still side with this guy with all these crazy radical associations.

He's referring to McCain voting for 4 out 5 of Bush's budgets.

well most of that budget has to deal with the government spending, not directly related to problems with the current economy. The problem is the bank's greedy policies, with out anyone there to check them. Now, it is directly related to our deficit, but whenever we're in a war there's going to be deficit.

I'm not for being in Iraq, but while we're there our soldiers deserve all of the money that the government can give. Which is where most of Bush's federal budget was spent. The "voting with Bush 90%" stat is true in that sense, but is a bit misleading.

Vote Obama.

Thank You

this is not going to change anyones mind.you have wasted your time writing that post basically telling people to vote for Obama. And even if McCain does get elected,it WON'T make a diffrence to your life since as you said, you live in Britain, not america.

BTW I irish so I won't be voting for anybody either.

yes it will make a difference to my life.

Economy. Global Warming. And if Obama wins i wont have to watch America raping Iraq on the news.

if you want to sound more "in the know", it's global climate change. Because technically we're in a cooling period right now.

In the UN they call it climate stress.

Why does that even matter?
