To the Atheist: So my parents have been going to church..

For the past month or so, all of these misfortunes that they have been getting into. Not having a furnace in the house (rolls eyes) and not having much money for bills(which they put them selves in with credit card dept) so they think that now since they go sit in a church every sunday that they are going to get a miracle. So im an atheist myself, but I don't tell them that I am an Atheist I let the believe what they want about my and the Christian religion.

So today my mom comes back home, and talks about how they are having bad luck because my sister is a lesbian and sleeps with other women, and how the preacher was telling them about how mothers shouldn't mother there sons... And all I could say is "Brain washed". So now I'm trying to avoid my parents.

Also about a week ago I opened a bible to read something out of it and my dad yells "DO PLAY WITH THAT BIBLE!" I was like, wow! You can't even look in the damned thing? Honestly I am thinking about moving with my friends we all work and go to college, I can't take all of this sudden Bible thumping. Other Atheist any suggestions?

last week i got a D on a math test. I worked hard and studied so much. if god is so great, then why didnt he reward my hard efforts?

today i was eating a sandwich and there was a cigarette butt in it. if god was so great then why was that cigarette in there?

Clearly your parents aren't true Christians son. That's the problem.

Now I'm not claiming to be a Christian, and I'm definitely not an atheist however I can tell you with certainty that true Christians do not judge.

Christians are supposed to be merciful, self-sacrificing, long suffering, non-judgmental and always willing to show love, courtesy and kindness to anyone and everyone, whether they be lesbian or not. Now Christians may not agree with homosexuality, but they also realize that condemning someones actions is just as wicked, its not the place of any christian to judge, believing that judgment exists between the heart of a man and woman and God alone. If God sees what is in your heart and not what you show on the outside its easy to see where human "Christians" could so often come off flawed in their efforts to spread Gods love. The best thing to do is to realize your parents are trying to do what they believe is right according to their own convictions and as long as you walk a path of justice as your heart directs you. Guided not by hate or baseless wrath and bias but instead following your hearts conviction to do what you TRULY believe is right. You can't go wrong walking that path.
