I got to agree with you. Grindhouse looks really stupid. I don't like Tarantino either, but he did one movie I like in Resevoir Dogs.
Pulp Fiction and Sin City are two of my favorite movies.

I just say the commercial about that and didn't remember what the movie was about until I read that one dude's post. Therefore, I don't plan on seeing it.

Sin City wasn't intentionally made for non-stop violence, Grindhouse is. Sin City has 3 different stories. The movie isn't about showing non-stop violence.

Darn it...I hope it doesn't get NC-17. If it does, then the distribution and reception of it overseas will not allow it to go to mainstream theatres without big cuts to the film. I'm in Australia, so if it gets an R18+ at least, then I'll be happy.

KILL BILL FTW!!! I see Tarantino as a director with a vision in most of his films. Sure, some of his affiliated films such as Hostel were just trash, but his other such as Pulp FIction, Reservoir Dogs, and Kill Bill are brilliant. Grind House is a movie that partially references the exploitation underground movies of the 70's and 80's, with cheesy action, corny characterization, and hardcore gore. The artistic pursuits in this movie are sound to me, and I'll probably end up watching it.
