and the war in Europe ended after the rape, abuse and mass murder of hundreds of thousands of innocent German civilians, isn't that a bit sad?

A bit sad the rape and murder ever occured in the first place, and that globally, millions died to stop that rape and murder. As for all of that officially ending in Europe with the last reluctant german soldiers surrendering, not sad at all- in Europe, anyway. Hirohito's Japan was still going on with it....

It doesn't matter which side they happened on, we're talking civilian casualties here...

i especially feel very sad for the german civilians who perished during the war. i have alot of resentment against the russians and even the nazi army for having my grandfather put into the army who never wanted to be there and would never hurt a fly. He was sent to one of the russian camps as a POW and was tortured. My grandfather is a brave man.
