Today I met a 28 yr old Grandmother..

WTF is going on? Her daughter is preg at 13 and is expected to give birth when the mother turns 29. Almost all the girlfriends I knew in HS are now prego or have multiple children not pass the age 20. Is this the new fad, teen pregnancy because imo, its getting out of hand and its sad to see young woman struggle so young :?

That is something completely different, my guess is that if this was to occur, the mother and daughter both pregnant to the same guy at young age, would be the result of some incest further down the ancestry :) (Or Incestry, if you will)

Well I have a friend who's a teenage mum and she's doing pretty good so I guess it's all got to do with the individual..

I don't see why your suprised, it's always been like this.

teen pregnancy increased in my school also, i dont know what it is... these young couples getting caught up in the moment and forgetting about protection

I'm just happy I finished high school years ago. I knew one girl in all four years of high school that got pregnant. Seeing how there is a lot of media hype and glorification about teen pregnancy it makes sense that it would be increasing.

I don't even want kids. The thought scares the **** out of me.

Its not only because of one reason;

1.They were probably drunk or taking other drugs

2. Their setting, education and current state (emotional, economic, etc)

3. they aren't smart or prudent.

4. Don't realise exactly what teen pregnancy means.

5. Opposed to abortion or don't have the money to get an abortion. In either case theyr probably screwed for the rest of their lives if they aren't in living in good conditions (such as having support and ability to give away their children for adoption.)
