has anyone read any tom clancy books? i bought tom clancys net force, the first (as i believe there is a second) at a market sale for $2NZ. cheap as chips. the book was printed in 1998 but the story is set in 2010. one of the higher ups in the fbi gets bumped off and pretty much the 500 page book contains a story searching for the killer. its a triad. the mob, an assassin or some russian outfit.

i won't spoil the ending but i do recommend the book. i have also read red rabbit, that book was more later.

anyone else got anything to add?

I've read a few, but when looking for Clancy books always watch out for the ones that have his "brand" on them that he didn't actually author. Those are never nearly as good IMO.

Didn't he sell his name a few years back and basically stop writing his own books?

Sounds like a physics book. Yay!
