Too bad the economy couldn't be as realistic as we imagined when we were kids

Remember when you used to get 10 dollars for your birthday from your grandparents and you t hought you were a millionaire? Remember when finding .75 cents in your couch was a lot of money? We had no concept of the value of money back when were kids, and I just wish it could have stayed that way. What do you think?

Meh, not really. Money was boring to me then. Basically a device which I could use to get better things. Sure it's the same thing now, but I value the sight of money for more than I used to.

Yeah...I wish $60 was as much as I thought it was. "This is awesome, I can buy ANY video game I want!!!"

All I wanted was video games since I was three. Due to the price of games and systems, I never thought that $10 was a lot.

I think that it's ironic you created this topic because I was just thinking about this not long ago. Man how I miss the 90's so much when I was just a kid and I was filthy rich.

I disagree with your thread title. The economy has cycles..... it's natural. It's in the recessive cycle now. No surprise here. The economy is realistic, it's your imagination that's unrealistic.Hemmaroids
Your concept of reality is different when you're younger. That's what the topic was referring to.

Blame the Federal Reserve for the terrible economy we have today. We are essentially slaves to the system. The Federal Reserve by the way isn't so Federal. It's a privately owned bank that makes money out of thin air and spreads it to the corrupt powers in government which in turn has interest that must be paid back. It's an illegal institution that is putting an infinite amount of debt on the economy. As long as the Federal Reserve remains in power we will all be debtors.
