The weather here (western europe) is crazy over here.

It's almost mid september and monday we're expecting 31 degrees celcius (or 88 degrees fahrenheit) . For belgium that's crazy temperatures for this time of the year, not to mention it's crazy temperatures all summer. Even worse next week it's going to flirt with end 80 temperatures all week.

great, I am going to buy airconditioning next year, unimaginable for my province here, I don't live too far from the seaside, and it's mostly cooler here during the summer, of course by the end of the summer the water has been warmed up and that's not helping anymore either.

Some people say that greenhouse effect isn't real, sorry but this kind of weather we're having lately, pretty much even the last decade is not normal for this place.

How is the weather over there with you, has it been warmer there for you as well?

That's too bad, sorry man. I've been kind of lucky, I live just north of San Francisco, CA, and things have actually been really pleasant. August is really the big indicator; if it hasn't gotten hot by then, you're good, and that's true.

We get some nice cloud cover/mist/fog in the early morning from the coast and it can last until noon sometimes, and that's awesome. Good cool breezes outside. At night it is almost cold and I need blankets, which is good because I hate sleeping without covers.

Of course, I drive 1.5 hours to my buddy's house in Modesto and it's like 110 degrees there...on a good day! California is awesome, so many microclimates. last year was pretty damn hot, though, so I am not expecting any miracles.

80's? Here in Chicago it's humid all the time and heat indexes above 100 degrees fahrenheit, real temp in 80's and 90's. Been that way pretty much all summer. I don't like it. I sweat more than most people even though I'm not obese. I work in a hot industrial environment and I'm not happy. Count your blessings! This is pretty much typical though. Global warming is more of a climate average being one degree above normal rather than a weather phenomenon though. Still, shit doesn't seem right. Farmer's almanac says my region is going to experience a harsh winter. I hope it's wrong. We get mostly extremes here in Chicago and "nice" days are rare. Fall is our only good season and I'm psyched for it!

I'm going to move to the Bay area in 9.5 years when I can retire from my current job. Until then I say, shut up I hate you! You guys do not understand. Have you ever lived anywhere else?

well end 80's. You're talking about 100, I'd probably die of a heart attack

thanks, california is a much more hotter place I presume , I heard you got orange and palm trees over there, that's not the case here, that's only in south spain and that's more than a 1000 miles from here.

110 degrees, hahaha, i'd kill myself.

It's just a big High Pressure system building east of your area. That will force warmer and drier air from the southern interior along with sunny skies, resulting in warmer temperatures. The High breaks down at the latter half of next week, bringing back cooler and wetter weather.

@jun_aka_pekto: yeah I know, I've see the weather forecast as well. lol, 88 degrees is an exception here, even in the mid summer we only get a couple of those days and that's not even every year but in september, nothing ever go past 80, mostly it's 70-75 and these are the sunny days, normally it rains here a lot, now it hasn't rained in weeks. this is just madness.

Last weekend was beautiful sitting at around 80° (26.7 C) and, what felt like, relatively low humidity. Today was 100°, which sucked.

Only thing that gets me is the humidity hovering around 60% all summer coupled with 110°- 115° F where as normally it's at around 35%.

Still better than Louisiana as far as that goes, but they have great cooking and a laid back life style to make up for it. Some day I'll move back.

Not out of state, no. I've lived in the Bay Area most of my life, though I went to school in San Luis Obispo, CA. You want to talk about a retirement destination, man, that is where you want to end up. Lovely little town on the Central Coast (a bit over an hour north of Santa Barbara). Three beaches, some of the best wine country in the world (better than Napa, imo), good beer, but still quiet except for the college kids lol.

But yeah I don't think I could move out of state; I'd end up buying a house no problem, and I am forced to rent here because shit is too expensive. Everywhere. Freaking two bedroom, one bath shacks going for 600k in mediocre neighborhoods lol. Ridiculous.

It's nice in Arizona now. Just a month ago it was 110-118 by noon, now it sits around 100-105 at the warmest.

It's about 15℃ in the part of Ireland I live in. But this is Ireland so it is raining a lot and there's fairly strong winds.

I was in New York City yesterday and dealing with temps in the upper 80s. It's not that unusual for this time of year right before the transition period before the equinox. Luckily a cold front came through this morning and knocked temps back down to the 70s so it's breezy, but comfortable.

Being pale and ginger during the summer is like that scene from T2 when Sarah Conner clings to the fence screaming.

Thankfully 80% of the time it just pisses with rain here.

I hate it when it gets hot as I tend to overheat, prefer rainy or mild weather. Atleast when it rains I've got an excuse to stay in.

If you lived where i live, you would suffer. My weather where i live gets up to 107 at times. Normally its at 88, like yours almost daily. The only time its gets cold is in the winter, but since we have been having a drought, its been hot all the way through. Luckily i work in the city, so its always cool, but when i get home, its suffer time. I paid like allot for a strong nice AC system in my home, and it brings it down to about 78 on a super hot day so i stay cool inside my home.

I like day temperatures in the 60's and 70's.

I live in Arizona where it's normal to see 100+ deg F temperatures. So far, it's been normal.

I wish the weather would be totally out of whack and I see 60 deg F weather. Nope.

Hello there neighborino! I live right next door in New Mexico.

The weather is hot and muggy due in no small part to the monsoonal rain we've been getting for the past couple of weeks.

im on the rickety edge of western europe and its becoming more pleasent now. staying below 20c. humidity is still very blech though.
the heat isnt so bad...its the humidity thats the killer. it makes the sun energy sapping.

im a bit odd though...i prefer when it gets under 10c (i prefer the cold) and am very happy when its closer to 5c. especially at night...then i can sleep properly :).

fat chance of it happening (we havent had a proper winter in about 4 years) but im hoping for snow...like every year :D.

Florida here, standard sub-tropical weather -- which means the heat and humidity is downright oppressive.

It's been hot and dry. The monsoon rains had just now came back. It's currently 83 F with thunderstorms. Can't complain. We always need the water.

Where I live in mid-South US, 88 degrees is common all of the way up through early October.

I hate it, too. I want to move to the Northeast.

It's been warmer than normal here in Sydney... for this time of year (low to mid 20 degrees Celsius). And we had a fairly mild winter, with average temperatures around 20 degrees Celsius during the day and around 5-6 at night. Pretty pleasant.

But Summer is coming :(

High temperatures such as upper 80's and 90's aren't so bad by themselves. We get those all the time on a "cool" day. But, the humidity is low. So, it's not too bad.

It's the high humidity that makes it feel like it's sweltering.
