Spider-Man 1 and 2 were jam-packed movies as it was with 1 bad guy and this movie is having three...Venom, Sandman and the one people forget about, Harry Osbourne (Hob Goblin). I think Sandman should be held off until a possible fourth movie because honestly, no one gives a damn about him and everyone is waiting to see Venon. I'm also interested to see the conclusion of the saga between Harry and Peter and with Venom being so powerful it seems like Sandman will be too much for one movie and he should be held off until a possible fourth movie.
I never thought that Venom would be a major issue in the the third film, but a segway into the 4th film where he's the main villian. Venom is one of my favorite comic villians and I hope he gets his own movie lol.
I was flipping through the kiddie novels and movie book things and from what I read Venom doesn't appear until the end of the film so hopefully it'll be a long movie. Also I picked the third option, seriously Sandman is lame.
Maybe Spidey will get a teammate so he doesn't have to fight all three guys.kirbyfanatic
[spoiler] Nightsurfer (AKA Harry Osbourne) is bad at first but ultimately ends up helping Spider Man at the end (in the huge 4 way battle between Spidey/Nightsurfer and Venom/Sandman). He is going to die, that's what happened in the comics. Venom will only be the last 15-20 minutes of the movie, and he will be the one who kills Harry. Im guessing Aunt May will die as well (please for the love of God). Spider Man 4 will probably have Venom and maybe Electro or Carnage as the villain. [/spoiler]
Harry isn't the Hod Goblin. And yes they have crammed too many villains into this film and what makes it worse is they know thats a bad thing. Raimi stated during Spider-Mans press circut that originally it was going to be Green Goblin and Doc Ock in the first one, but they felt that they couldn't do the characters justice if they kept both of them, so Doc Ock was took out and put in the second one, which was also supposed to have the Black Cat but for the same reason she was taken out. Now they seem to be doing the exact opposite and trying to cram as many villains into one film as they possibly can.

Why do people think the Matrix was the first film to do that? Empire Strikes Back anyone? Fellowship of the Ring and Two Towers anyone?
