1. Legend of the Galactic Heroes (11/10, ruined anime forever by being too good)

It's a space opera that focuses mainly on warfare, leadership and politics. It still managed to be absolutely excellent and gripping regardless of what some would consider dull subject matter. Here's more info.

Hellsing OVA (vampires done right)

Toradora (wish there was a dub...)

Baccano (why ain't this a mainstream hit)

The Third (why has no one heard of this anime)

Romeo X Juliet. (love hybrid Western/eastern anime)

Clannad is the only constant on my list. The rest change a lot.

Whats wrong with Death Note? I found its plot to be very interesting. Has tons of twists and turns and keeps the reader hooked.

Hmm well I'm not done it (only on volume 5). We'll see. Then again I guess I shouldn't have mentioned it in this thread since I am only reading the manga and not watched the anime. But oh well.

Some of these may seem cliche and mainstream, but I found them to be enjoyable so whatever.

Special mention also goes out to the sports animes, because they are awesome. Eyeshield 21, Hajime no Ippo, Prince of Tennis, and Slam Dunk. I don't have any cool gifs of them on hand though.

That's out of around the 20 shows I have seen/ am current;y watching.

I have liked most of them quite a bit and have a hard time picking favorites( top 10 would have been better)

To this day, the only one that I did not like was Neon Genesis Evangelion.
