After seeing Arch Enemy live last night, they are now burned into one of my top spots. My favourite metal bands change from tiem to time, Some weeks I am really into death metal, some weeks goth metal and so forth.lycrof

one metal sounding song doesnt make the beatles metal. I guess radioheads old stuff counts, but they dont sound like that now so I dunno if that counts. Sigur Ros are metal in a way, i think I really dunno how to catagorize them. But not the arcade fire or Peter Bjorn and John.

Hard to narrow them down to 5, too hard to rank those 5 so here are mine in random order:
1) Until death overtakes me
2) Esoteric
3) Tyranny (the Finnish doom band)
4) Insanity Reigns Supreme
5) here I should list some black metal band, otherwise it's all doom and not 100% representative for my taste, so the vote goes to... In Cursed Obsession

Well, personally I intensely dislike bands that play something along the lines of hardcore, yet claim to be metal just because they think that gives them more of an image :P
