I need to check out Torchwood.Travo_basicYou do. Season 1 and 2 are good, but Children of Earth is just amazing, even if the 456 is a bit of a crappy alien. Season 2 is tied a bit with season 3 of Doctor Who (Martha Jones-season) so it's extra fun to watch the two at the same time.
When you talk about season 3 of Dr. Who, are you talking about from years ago?Travo_basicI'm talking about the revived show, not with the first Doctor :3
I liked Dr. Who somewhat. What is the difference between Torchwood and Dr. Who? Or are they the same? :P horgen123The difference is that Torchwood is more adult, more dramatic and more sexy. Sure, the Doctor kisses a lot of girls, but they swear and do more awesome stuff in Torchwood. Also, lesbian aliens :P
You like straight up drama?Yes, that and Thrillers for the most part...Sci-fi :(...

See Life on Mars (the British and American version)I don't like Science Fiction Really. Why is it bad if it comes to America? :?

One of the rumors about season 4, if it was funded by a US distributor, was that Davies would still be involved, so I was more curious than concerned. Still, I'm glad to see that it's coming back; season 2 and Children of Earth were good TV. Why Starz Entertainment though? :? I hope that doesn't mean it's going to be exclusive to premium cable...MAILER_DAEMONMy biggest concern is that RTD will ruin it by signing with Starz... No offence to any american, but your telly is rubbish.
He is saying it would be bad if it is made by Americans. It will probably be shown on TV in AmericaI don't like Science Fiction Really. Why is it bad if it comes to America? :?

Watch Life on Mars, like most TV shows/Films the US version is terrible.

Doctor Who is made by the BBC. Your point is therefore void.
That said, I'm glad to see that it's coming back. They just have to do something about
Killing off all but two cast members. I don't care about the other two but Ianto has to come back
No offence to any american, but your telly is rubbish.I haven't seen enough foreign TV to have any opinions, but these last few months the only time I tuned into anything was 24, NCIS, Law and Order SVU, FlashForward, and occasionally The Office. Much of the stuff out there just doesn't interest me, and over the summer the only show I want to catch is Royal Pains. Too often the good shows fall victim to the arbitrary "ratings" that cause good shows like Arrested Development (which you still need to watch :P) to get canceled, when a large part of the problem with those shows is that people don't know they exist until word of mouth happens AFTER people can show them to their friends on DVD.
Even the original Star Trek only lasted 3 seasons, would have been canceled after 2 save for a letter-writing campaign from the fans, and almost didn't get picked up because the original pilot was "too cerebral" for the audience, had a demonic-looking character (Spock), and had a woman as the second-in-command (yes, this was originally the plan in Star Trek). TV execs have always considered the American viewing public to be idiots.
Matt Smith comes across as bat **** insane to me!

I think that's what makes him such a fantastic Doctor.

Haw haw, my favorite thing in Children of Earth was humanity's rush to capitulation; "Yes, plz PLZ take our children!"

Besides, RTD is quite capable of ruining a show on his own. In fact, some of the worst episodes ever made for Doctor Who (classic and revived) fell under his tenure. Shame Tennant couldn't have worked with Moffat as producer.
lmao ive never thought of Matt Smith's Dr as emo but i will be looking out for that this Saturday :P WollsI said the new Who was a lot LESS emo....
I'm thinking they're bringing an american, an asian and a polish person into the crew. Just to, y'kno, balance things up :PThat said, I'm glad to see that it's coming back. They just have to do something about

Bwahhahaha, Russell really do have a knack at ruining his own shows  If only Moffat had written a lot more for Eccleston and Tennant. Then maybe we wouldn't have had Rose friggin Tyler :x
My biggest concern is that RTD will ruin it by signing with Starz... I didn't mind the character of Rose as much as the direction she was taken. What I loved about Donna, despite almost everyone else hating her, is that she didn't fall head-over-heels for the Doctor. They had more of a brother-sister relationship. That said, Moffat's episodes for Nine and Ten were often the best. And I'm sure that he's the reason that Eleven's tenure has been great thus far (aside from that God-awful Dalek episode). Well that, and Matt's fantastic acting.

Yeah, Donna is by far my favourite companion. I was sad when Pond snogged with the Doctor... If it wasn't for Moffat being gay and a scot, I would hurt him :P Also, new daleks : Taste the (exterminating) rainbow
Go back to chan.>Implying the US doesn't make the best Sci-Fi

You've obviously never seen Prison Break or Lie to Me :|...

The first four years of 24 were good. House is good (British actor though, ohhh irony), curb your enthusiasm is amazing, Criminal minds is one of the only crime shows besides the origin law and order that is actually decent, uhh, Law and order, and others I can't think of right now. But most TV, both us and Europe, is garbage.
That's a silly generalization when things like Damages, Mad Men, Breaking Bad, Justified, The West Wing, Lost, The Shield, etc have all come from American television over the last few yearsDeihjan
