Wasn't as good as TS1 but it was still pretty good. How to Train Your Dragon was better too.

I've seen him post a few times here but nothing as memorable as some of his SW posts. Those were pretty funny. His quality has gone downhill though.

No soul? Dude they're just toys. The entire theme of growing up and loss of innocence has been overdone in hollywood that it rarely has any impact. I mean I heard adults crying during TS3. I don't understand, I realized that growing up is a fact of life and you just have to learn to deal wit it when I was 14. It's nothing new.

Sure if you live in an alternate reality where a movie about animated personified toys > a movie with an actual plot and realistic characters.

Most of all movies have had themes that were done before. The substance of the movie, and how moving it was determines how good a movie is, and thats why TS3 was such a good movie.

Inception was a great movie and I enjoyed it thoroughly, but the plot was purely entertainment. If you're looking for a real movie with actual plot and realistic characters watch A Prophet, by far the grittiest, most fascinating movie of the year.

People such as myself found it very moving because when the first one came out I was roughly the same age as Andy, and now he's all grown up and going to college, and so am I and a lot of other kids who grew up with Toy Story. Personally watching it was like watching my own childhood come to an end and thats what made it so emotional for people.

Oh and one more thing, Best. Prison Break. Movie. Ever.

EDIT: And one last thing for the TC

I wouldn't say it was massively overrated, but I do have to say I didn't really even come close to crying.

I watched Toy Story when I was a little kid just like everybody else. But I didn't cry here.

I didnt cry but i could see how it was emotional for other people. Also it depends on the demographic, if you're at that stage in life where you're growing up and leaving your childhood behind it means a lot more to you (remember the kids who grew up with Toy Story are in college/university, so they can relate to Andy a lot more)

The realization of your childhood coming to an end is what made TS3 emotional? What's next, are people going to suddenly realzie that they're going to die someday too?

I am also in university, what's mind boggling is that all of a sudden people have had an epiphany that "Ohmahgawd, mychildhood has come to an end!! This movie made me realize something that I ever had before and is something totally new and excitng!"

Wow, I wish I was hardcore as you because you didn't cry during the movie.

You're just kidding yourself if you don't see why people found it sad. My mom started crying when Andy and his mom had that last scene together before he went to college. She cried like that when my brother was leaving for college. Sure, what Toy Story 3 did has been done before, but they captured the audience and still pulled it off well.

You sir lack a soul. I grew up on Toy Story, I remember I loved that film so much when it came out that my dad took me to it every Wednesday for like seven weeks straight. It was something that I hold dear to me from my childhood and was my second favorite movie as a child next to the origonal Star Wars. In away to people around my age who also grew up with the film, we really related to Andy and were all attached to Woody and the other characters, so first almost seeing them all die a tragic death in an incerator was heartbreaking, and the final scene with Andy was just so touch and emotional because in away because you in a sense were feeling the same thing Andy was in the film. I've only cried during three films, and two of them were Pixar films.

Probably has something to do with what generation you're a part of. I grew up with the first two Toy Stories, and therefore I was able to appreciate TS3 for pure sentimental value. The movie can hold it's ground as a stand-alone release, however.

I got a bit sad, but it was just depressing overall. Nothing will ever beat the first one.
