After watching Philadelphia, I was always suspicious that Woody might have been gaySilverChimera
woody has had his moments, i guess...
[QUOTE="Nibroc420"][QUOTE="scorch-62"] What about Buzz?scorch-62Why do you think they're such great friends? Because they endured hardships togetherand developed a trust for one other.
I suppose i shouldn't ruin such a great movie by reveiling the subtle undertones.
Yeah right, your wife. I bet you love that show.fidosim
I get free feet rubs if I give up the TV to let her watch it. :D
If that means I have to sit through some singing, ah well, I've been through worse.

Oh, you're cool. As a gay guy: there is nothing gay about Buzz and Woody. Unless you're just going to continue to act childish, I'd love to know what supposed undertones you're talking about. As many times as I've watch the Toy Story movies, I've never picked up on anything hinting remotely toward homoeroticism.Surprising amount of ignorance in this thread. Woody is perfetcly straight, he's hinted to be in a relationship with Bo Peep, and he's being attacked because his character is being used to say being gay is okay.
Good, I hope these morons continue to get pissed off and consequently drive away more and more people from their rapidly-crumbling cause.
Conversely, I hope more big names like Pixar and Apple decide to support IGB and gay rights in the future. Since the corporations run the country anyway, it shouldn't be long before the politicians finally decide that gay rights is a top-priority issue.
And I don't care if Woody's gay or straight; all that matters is that he's voiced by Tom Hanks.
I thought it was more out of place to have Lady Gaga there than Woody.
Unless shes lesbian, I dont know.
[QUOTE="Jolt_counter119"]I don't know if she's a lesbian, but she IS a huge LGBT rights supporter.I thought it was more out of place to have Lady Gaga there than Woody.

I just found it kind of out of place. Like if a commercial for african American rights and then theres like 2 white guys saying "it'll get better" they could be very supportive of the organization in question, but its still kind of out of place.
she has a huge gay following. I didnt click the link but im sure its that commercial Google is forcing down everyones throat on primetime T.V. When I first seen it, my first reaction was :|. Then when I seen Woody I was like :I thought it was more out of place to have Lady Gaga there than Woody.

You have offically killed my childhood
Not even Pickard facepalm is enough for this, specially this part:
"Children all over the world, including my two children are fans of 'Toy Story' and to see a character like that endorsing something that at this point children have no need to know about, it's disappointing,"
I have meet people who at the age of 10 already knew they didn't like girls.
Still, not the most stupid thing i have read this year (nothing can beats, "people on the streets are like, hey let's go to a hotel and make homosexual acts") but is getting close.
"Chambers says he "overcame homosexuality,"" Wait, what? o_Otofu-lion91
This is just sad and i bet that's the reason he is kind of an ***
I tihnk it's sweet that a recognised animated character is sued to give the message to kids who are coming to terms with who they are to not give up hope, being bi-sexual and trans-gender myself then that kind of thing would have been great for me when I was young. I never got any support from anyone for being different, the number of suicide attempts become pointless to count after the first three years.
A message for the younger generation of children today who are entering their teens and adulthood about difference and not to give up onthemselves as they come to terms with who they are is important.
We are all different, the saying 'every person is an island unto themselves' is very true. To force everyone to be exactly the same because of some ideal where we should all be of one mind, one ideal due to hetrosexual bible thumpers who have issues accepting that God would want us to be who we are in our hearts instead of what a bunch of close minded idiots demand is wrong.
How canwe ever be true to anyone if we can't be true to ourselves?
"Remember Exodus International? The ministry that recently released and then lost an iPhone app that taught how to convert gay people to heterosexuality?" I found this to be funnier.cd_rom
lmao there was an iphone app that made gays hetero? :P the wonders of technology.
You know, I can see your disguise hatred.Good, I hope these morons continue to get pissed off and consequently drive away more and more people from their rapidly-crumbling cause.

[QUOTE="Fuhgeddabouditt"] man please. Its not just the older gen. This gen, future gens will see two dudes going at it as weird or two dudes acting like females weird. Its just the way it is. People always assume because one is against two guys going at it, it is because they hate the person. Not true for all. XilePrincessThere are some people in this generation who oppose it, but support for same-sex marriage is higher amongst this generation than any other. There's VERY few teenagers today who outright hate homosexuals on their own, with no religious or parental influence to decide that. By the generation our grandchildren will be in, it's predicted that the number of anti-gay people in the world will be even lower, and a hundred years from now it's going to be the same story as slavery, people won't be able to believe that ever happened. You don't walk down the road and go "omg, what is that black person doing out of their plantation? WEIRD", because it's not a current issue. It was resolved and it's now the past, our generation doesn't see black people and think "slave", and future generations aren't going to see gays and think "abomination". And weird isn't what I was going for, I think it's weird to watch a heterosexual couple suck face in public. PDA is not something I like. It has nothing to do with them finding it weird, and finding it weird doesn't mean they hate the person. Hating homosexuals for no reason other than that they were basically told to either by their parents or their religion is what I'm talking about. This generation is more accepting of everything and because of that, less children are going to be taught to hate people of a certain color, orientation, etc. because of outdated old-fashioned ways.
Do you based this on your experence?
