Finally, exceited a big budget/blockbuster/summer movie is being made by a good director, like, an actual director that knows how to do some great art direction and designs.

Pretty much. It looks ok, and I'm holding out hope and higher standards because it does in fact have Del Toro's name on it, but the trailer doesn't make it look like a masterpiece or anything.

I'm pleased to see mention of my favourite Del Toro movie: So much tragedy and injustice and then, at the end, a brilliant and fitting catharsis!

It sounds cheap that they borrowed a video game sound effect (GLaDOS's synthesized voice of Ellen McClain). Did del Toro run out of money with the special effects that he had no money left to spend on sound? It would be awesome if the actual "character" of GLaDOS was worked into the movie, but I don't think that is the case.

I wonder if the giant monsters are the invaders or if they are just some huge juggernaut war beasts kinda things sent by some other intelligent race.
