Tropic Thunder expectations

I'm siked for this movie but the only thing that worries me is if the humor is light-hearted and just stupid funny (movies like Scary Movie etc..)

I mean we got some pretty big actors in here so it shouldnt be too bad but i just really hope they don't mess it up and make it so that the only thing you laugh at is how bad it is.

What are your thoughts?

I think Robert Downey Jr.'s character is awesome... I mean, c'mon. Who didn't laugh hard when they found out his character?

Anyways, I hope the film is good.. But I think it will take a lot more than just an all-star cast to beat Pineapple Express for me.

I loved all 4.. though number 4 was kinda worse.

Pineapple Express sucked. Having marijuana in a movie doesn't make it good, but it helps :) . With that being said, even though Pineapple Express had plenty of marijuana in it and still sucked, then that must mean that the movie was just atrocious. God that movie sucked.npatel1447

It's just my opinion.
I don't do drugs, yet I still loved Pineapple Express. Way better than Superbad.

im not going to see it. anything with larry the cable guy in it is something im not going to watch.

the first 2 of his fart jokes gave me a chuckle but the 15 following immediately afterwards made me question weather or not he had any potential to be funny

Trust me, comparing Tropic Thunder to Scary Movie does Tropic Thunder a huge disservice. TT lampoons Hollywood in a very clever way, to the point where some people evidently don't even realize that that's the point of the movie.

I thought it was hilarious, and it had a great cast and some shocking moments that literally made my jaw drop, and trust me when I say that I'm not the kind of person that's easily shocked. I definitely recommend it to anyone who likes R-rated comedies.
