The second season was awful. I thought the first one was enjoyable on an entertaining level, but I just couldn't take the second one. I was hoping Alan Ball would give us another series that ranks among my favorites, but he didn't. I should have known that he couldn't top Six Feet Under.
True blood and entourage are like the best shows ever. Lately I started liking true blood more though. Sick show.

I agree, dunno what it is exactly. everyone should check out 'breaking bad' though, Best show since 'brotherhood' was cancelled :/

Bryan Cranston is awesome. Hal is one of my all-time favorite television characters. Malcolm's dad :P. anyway when is it on? hes won 2 emmys for that role and beat out house/dexter/mad men twice in a row. hes a great actor! Season 2 ended a couple months ago, i would suggest watching them via tv shack/illimitux thats how i watched them
Book's better. Having said that, it's a pretty good version of the story, but it had better be, with a few exceptions it's a word for word adaptation of the novel. The one thing that kind of ruins it are the sex scenes, though. They're very forced and most of the time add nothing to the plot. I get that it's an HBO show and they do it because they can, but still.

I've refrained from watching it so far, mainly because I dislike this current vampire fad in the media. All of a sudden they're the coolest thing ever and it just gets on my nerves a little.
Season 1 was fun, but season 2 was all over the place (read: **** Maryann).

and yeah this season of dexter does seem to be a bit slow
but i guess theyre trying to develop dexters character more
I stopped watching True Blood mid season last year, the whole plot was all over the place. I haven't found this season of Dexter slow, I love where it's going and I think John Lithgow is just about the creepiest character as the Trinity killer.
