his is a true story. I don't remember it word for word, but this is a the gist of it. A guy calls technical support line for WordPerfect. "How may I be of service?" - asks the technician "I just lost all the information that I typed in!!!" - frustrated guy answers "How do You mean?" "Well I was typing the info in and the screen just went blank" "Maybe it is just Your screen!?" - tech responds. "Huh?" "Do You see a little green lite near the bottom of the monitor?" "No." " Please press the power button of the monitor." " Nothing Happened" - responds caller " Could You check at the back of the monitor if all the cables are plugged into it?" - tech advises " They are" "Hmm. Can You check if those cables are connected to the computer and power supply?" " I can't" "Why is that, Sir?" "It is really dark in the office and I cannot see." " Could You turn on the lights in Your office and then look?" "No. The lights went out a few minutes ago." "Do You mean that the building lost power?" "Yes." "Then I am afraid that Your computer is gone. Please put it in the box and ship it to manufacturer." " Is it that bad?" "Yes. You should also get another job cause You are definitely too stupid for this one."
Needless to say that the technician was fired for her rude comment. But I can certainly understand her. That guy was as dumb as the guy who asked- " Do I have enough space to download Internet?"
lol, downloading the internet. Maybe if you had a 15 000 hexabyte hard-drive or something. Then you'd have to update it daily. And it would be slower than the internet itself.
