It's because they are a Muslim country. The EU has requirements for membership. Oddly enough, the requirements set on Turkey have always been unrealistic. Think about it... a Muslim country in the EU? High society europeans who control the political parties in Europe would not be very keen about that at all.
İ born in Turkey, and i love this country! Actually i live in Moscow, but now i living in İstambul... And i whant say that the İstambul is great city!, whith great history. İf anybody going to come here- say to me, and we can meet!
