So why isn't Turkey considered apart of Europe? It's strange how it's apart of the european union but not the continent.

look at a map. It has a slither of land on the European continent. Its mostly located in Asia. Hence, it is a Eurasian country (actual term)

It's because they are a Muslim country. The EU has requirements for membership. Oddly enough, the requirements set on Turkey have always been unrealistic. Think about it... a Muslim country in the EU? High society europeans who control the political parties in Europe would not be very keen about that at all.
