Was just wondering what GS thought of Community being cancelled, it sucks that they actually cancel good shows and CBS can keep baddies on like TAAHM

It wasn't cancelled. They're just holding off on production for a bit. ... but yeah, the odds of it being renewed are slim.

Ya, I'm aware of that but almost all shows that have been put on hold end up being cancelled :S

Are you guys sure? I thought this was a mainstream show like Lost, not one of those cancelly shows.

Don't they have just one more year to go until community college? They could just round it off with 4 seasons which is what I was initially hoping. Man the more I think about it the more I wonder if this is true or just typical Internet scares from being on the Internet too long.

The creator was hoping for 4 season then a movie I believe, but I mean I think they can drag it on for a few more years regardless.

It does absolutely terrible in the ratings, and it isn't exactly a show someone can just hop into and watch.

It's not an internet scare. NBC seems to care about Whitney more than they do this show.

You sure are a weird one. Like a step out if sync with time and reality.

Not cancelled just yet, but in real danger of being. A shame.

When has NBC ever made questionable programming decisions? I mean, aside from Knight Rider (2008),The Jay Leno Show, The Cape, The Event, Prime Suspect, The Playboy Club, and their recent decision to bring The Munsters back as an hour long dramatic series, of course.

AV Club actually made a pretty compelling argument that Community probably (and by probably, I mean >50% chance) will get a fourth season. Long story short: bumping the show has more to do with the logistics of getting Up All Night into the timeslot after The Office (30 Rock was already starting late and Parks & Rec had the late start last season) than it does a total lack of faith in Community, and as poorly as Community does in the ratings it gets good demographics and critical acclaim, so why would they bother scuttling it just to replace it with an Outsourced/Whitney type show that'll get just as poor ratings without the accliam/demographics?

What I don't get is how the hell do you go from an half-hour sitcom to a supposedly dark 1 hour drama?! This isn't True Blood, or Dark Shadows...it's the f***ing Munsters for chrissakes!

Typical. Like someone said before, CBS airs nothing but **** comedies that survive for years, but good comedies end up getting cancelled. Part of it is because so many people watch **** comedies. Anyways, reason is that 30 Rock is coming back and they need to bump something from the lineup. Don't know why it's not Whitney, though, does anyone even watch that show? I guess they're kinda tired of swinging and missing on new Thursday comedies (Outsourced, that married couple show, the Paulie Shore Show *gag*). Maybe they think if they keep Whitney around long enough it will somehow become good. Frankly, though, I'd cancel every other Thursday show in the lineup right now before I cancelled Community.

It will be a shame if it is canceled. And yet garbage like HIMYM and BBT are watched by millions of people.

BBT?

Big Bang Theory. I think my favourite Community moment is when there's some 'BBT SUCKS' graffiti on a door in the background.
