I have been a big manson fan ever since the mid 90's but I felt as though his last two albums(Golden Age of Grotesque and that piece of **** that I don't even remember what it is called) were absolute garbage. Twiggy was absent from both of these albums, so do you think Marilyn Manson will no longer suck as a result of his return? I'm optimistic. . . .a little.

Well, a lot of artists have 'sold out' to gain popularity with the newer generations. Times change.

Did MM do this or was it a result of Twiggy's absence? I don't really know. I gave up after Golden Age of Grotesque.

Are you serious??? Eat Me, Drink Me is AMAZINGLY awesome and so is Grotesque.....

I love Manson, and none of his albums suck..... Eat Me, Drink Me is to Manson as 10,000 Days is to Tool...Both great albums with a different and just as great sound.

I agree, I think that what makes Manson so good and still relevant as an artist is the fact that he has never been afraid to evolve and adapt. It took me a couple of listens to get into Golden Age because it was so different but then I realized how good it was because it evolved and wasn't stagnated by the same sound Manson had been known for. Eat Me, Drink Me is also an excellent album and the songs are very well done and relevant. check them out. Twiggy was good but just because he wasn't on those albums didn't make them suck at all for me.

He's been making music w/ A Perfect Circle, who IMO, are much better than Manson.

Seriously - Marilyn Manson's whole success is based on shock value, not talent.

Once people got numb to the goofy outfits and goth videos, it was over.

Marilyn Manson is terrible, with or without Twiggy Ramirez.

On a side note, I was driving yesterday when I came across a truck with a sign on it that read: "Ramirez's Tree Removal". That got a chuckle out of me.

MM kinda lost me too, was around time Jeordie "Twiggy" left. Maybe I'll try their next CD together.

Not at all....He is insanely talented in the musical department...The songs are just epic, and all of his albums are put together perfectly....That was the whole point of Grotesque...People were saying he was just shock so he put out an album that exaggerated the shock on the surface, but underneath was still pretty complex and enjoyable.

I mean listen to Antichrist Superstar, I don't think anything on there is meant to shock, it's just expressive in a different way.... When I listen to Manson I get a feeling that is hard to describe and I think he and many other of his fans share this feeling. In a way it's eerie, but also it just feels really great. I feel a huge connection to his words and the emotions he creates through his art.

Freaking love "Kinderfeld", it's just crazy and its one of his songs that really bring out the (to borrow from Metallica) unnamed feeling.

"The Reflecting God" is my all time favorite song...It scares me sometimes though, I mean I have a small thing against religion but when I listen to that song I always picture churches exploding and crap..... ...
