Yes he should. Just because the drivers were drunk doesn't make them evil.lo_PineHe killed the man's sons.....
This sounds like a sequel to A Time to Kill. I can understand the man's rage, but he still committed murder. He should be punished for it regardless of what John Grisham's novel says.
[QUOTE="lo_Pine"]Yes he should. Just because the drivers were drunk doesn't make them evil.mingmao3046He killed the man's sons..... This is why you are not in charge of law. And why mob justice is bad. Would have probably done the same if a drunk driver killed both my children but regardless it's still a plain ol' murder.
[QUOTE="lo_Pine"]Yes he should. Just because the drivers were drunk doesn't make them evil.mingmao3046He killed the man's sons..... Then the the man murdered him. I feel for the guy, but he still committed murder.
[QUOTE="mingmao3046"][QUOTE="lo_Pine"]Yes he should. Just because the drivers were drunk doesn't make them evil.lo_PineHe killed the man's sons..... But when they went out driving, was their intention to kill someone? he willingly got behind the wheel while intoxicated, an incredibly dangerous move that puts everyones life at risk.

100% correct. Â The only thing worse than the sons dying, is the murder of the driver. Â
One was accidental, the other intentional; I think the latter should be punished severely.
it is texas.
they will get him off on temporary insanity give him a slap on the wrist and let him go.
and i don't have a problem with that.

his last name is hispanic, and he is in texas. Â He will go to prison
He killed someone, he should be charged with murder. Laws wouldn't mean much if we frequently said, "well I guess I understand why he did it so this time it's ok".
I got arrested a few months ago for stealing from the place I worked at. They treat their employees poorly, lied on our evaluations for years, screwed up our schedules, didn't give me the vacation time I was supposed to have three years in a row and wouldn't fix it, because of that and more I don't feel bad about stealing from them but at no point was I dumb enough to think a judge would let me off if I told him that it's ok because they were all ******* and deserved it anyway.
You can't give people special treatment because they had or thought they had reason to break a law, it would cause a hell of a lot of problems.
Not often that I would agree with LaiIf you intentionally kill someone for any reason other than defense then that is murder.

Not that I condone his actions, but I probably would have done the same. If some drunk killed my children right in front of me, regardless of intent, I don't think I'd be able to control myself; I don't think many people could.
Anyways, Who wants to bet that he gets off by pleading temporary insanity?
I guess its not murderous intent when I stand in my backyard with a semi automatic gun, spin around shooting at all my neighbors houses. "civilized people" lmao. Id like to see you liberal idealists sit back and hold your rage, letting the idiot go through the court system when he killed your own children. then again maybe you are lacking testosterone and would feel that he made an honest mistake and should be let go. lmfao. pathetic.mingmao3046
So basically we're all just a bunch of pvssies for not supporting this guy murdering another human being? Â Fvck you're pathetic.Â
While I'm sure that it would be almost unbearable to lose your sons to a drunk driver, we dont live in a country where vigilante justice is acceptable. The courts, not this person, should determine the fate of the drunk driver.

I just don't understand how you could sit back and let the man who killed your children go through the court system and possibly get a light punishment when he deserves to die.I'm sure I am but if the opposite of that is shooting people, I'll be happy with how I am.then again maybe you are lacking testosterone

Yes, I would love to honor my dead sons by committing an act that would put me in jail for the rest of my life. Generally people in civilized society (or perhaps.. people with low testosterone) make efforts to resist many of our emotional urges, especially when those urges involve killing someone and going to jail.
