UFC 105 Discussion Thread!! Event Is Free on SpikeTV Saturday Night!!

UFC Hall of Famer Randy "The Natural" Couture returns to the Light Heavyweight division to begin his quest for his sixth world championship. Standing in his way is the talented and dangerous Brendon "The Truth" Vera, who is looking to solidfy his spot as a top contender in the 205 division. Also on the card, former Middleweight contender Michael "The Count" Bisping takes on PRIDE and UFC veteran Denis Kang. Also, top contender at 170, Mike Swick, looks to take another step closer toa shot at the Welterweight title, but he must first get through talented up-and-comer Dan Hardy. UFC presents UFC 105:Couture vs Vera free on SpikeTV on Saturday November 14th.

UFC truly sucks in my opinion, lyoto vs shogun was a joke. what a joke. PRIDE WAS SO MUCH BETTER

Not to start a MMA/Boxing debate but I do think that the UFC is a little scared to go up against Pacquiao/Cotto this saturday (Easy 2,000,000 PPV buys). Besides there's a reason why UFC 105 is free, since Couture is the only really big name on that whole card. It's partly a business move to let people see what it's like to order an event and to spread there name even more. I just wish Boxing would remarket itself and air more/better fights on cable. In short I may check it out, not much of a MMA person but I may at least watch Couture.

Doubt this can top the Fedor vs. Rogers fight, but I will be watching.

Randy's fights are always entertaining but Brandon's last fight sucked !

I agree. Does anyone else feel Big John McCarthy called the Fedor v. Rogers fight a little too early? I mean Rogers was stil guarding his face, he hadn't gone limp or curled up in the fetal position. I think the end result would have been the same, but I definitely wanted to see more or at least a "real" knock out.

I doubt it, I haven't had a chance to see the Nielsen ratings for these types of events, but I can only assume they will pull in big numbers.
