I think what is going on here is that there was a girl the OP DID NOT like, and she DID NOT like him either.

But now they are madly in love.  Sounds like a cheesy 80's sitcom where the tough Chick is mean to a guy, but it's only because she likes him.  Either that or I watch too much TV.
