Just in general, movies and whatnot.
For various reasons.

Their list of filters makes me wonder what would be left of some of those moviesApparently, yes.

I'll bite; why do you need to do this, and what is the cutoff point for language being profane?xaos
I typed it up in the op but then deleted it when I figured that it was none of people's business. I either want an answer or don't. My personal life is of no consequence to others.

Then stop asking people to facilitate it[QUOTE="xaos"]I'll bite; why do you need to do this, and what is the cutoff point for language being profane?thattotally

Not sure why you ask an odd question and then expect others to not ask about the reason for the question. If fact knowing the reason for a question can often be helpful in answering the question.

The only odd part is that most movies with cursing also generally have questionable stuff going on, visually, and that's not nearly as easy to edit out.[QUOTE="xaos"]I'll bite; why do you need to do this, and what is the cutoff point for language being profane?thattotally

Hell, even making a up a reason is better than asshat-ish answer.[QUOTE="Oleg_Huzwog"]Their list of filters makes me wonder what would be left of some of those moviesApparently, yes.

Though there's a few networks that don't. Showcase is a good one.
But some of them, like Spike, are rediculous. Especially when they're showing Rambo blow peoples limbs off.

That has nothing on the "edited for television" version of Scarface. My favorite line:"This town is like one big chicken, just waiting to be plucked."
Hmm well google hasn't been much help, and it doesn't seem like any people here know. I think I'll just give up on it for now.

I seem to recall hearing "money loving Jew" instead of "motherf***ing Jew". Yeah, I can see how that's much less offensive.
Oh, and one of my favories was "this is what happens when you fight a stranger in the alps" from the edited version of 'the Big Lebowski'.
Watch edited TV versions like this I hated when they did this in the 8o's, makes the film funny as hell low. Scar Face edited TV version
