On my profs website I found all the homework assignments, and major assignment answers, as well as past midterms, without too much trouble (he has links on his site that go to the answers, he changed one letter in each url link so that it goes to the wrong site, and then changes the letter back when he hands back the assignments, but I already figured this out, and assignment 1 is exactly the same as on the website). I also did this to his "midterm solutions" page, and got some solutions to past exams, the 2004, 2005, and 2006 exams are almost identical, meaning that there is a good chance that 2007 will be the same.

When I first saw this I was gonna email him telling him how easy it was to "crack". I'm sure other students will notice this and cheat, I have never cheated before, and put a lot of effort into getting good grades. It has always bothered me how other people have cheated and nearly tied me on exams, I know if I really wanted to I could cheat easily, but this always seemed wrong. Now I have the oppurtunity to cheat without having to put any effort into it.

what the hell shoult i do?

Are you sure they are the answers on the test? If they aren't and you spend all your time studying those then you're screwed.

I'd say you tell him but either way, it doesn't matter what you do as long as YOU don't cheat because cheating screws you over, not the school or the professor. If you don't tell him and otherd figure out how to do it, then they are messing with their education and it's not your problem. Just keep yourself honest and learn what you have to learn to earn a good grade.

You should learn the material...that's why you are enrolled in the class.

I'm a good student and ussually score 90-93% on midterms anyway. I really don't need these answers, and them being that easy to find means that someone who doesnt try at all can score near me. God on the other hand I don't think doing this will stop all cheating, so maybe I should study normally (to 90-93% range), then review the solutions to give me the edge, and just use the homework answers to do my homework quickly (homework is worth 30-40% of my mark).

Still study and try to use your own knowledge. But maybe if the tests are the same and you remember some anwsers use them.

Tell him. You're not in grade 5 anymore, you should be more worried about actually learning the course material than your mark, because no one cares how high your marks were when your first employer finds out you don't know ****. Plus by telling him you'll be in line for some brownie points.
