So the thread about high school got me thinking about one of my greatest memories. It was a high school football championship game played at Qualcomm Stadium (San Diego Chargers). Heres a video of the final seconds.

Honestly, I get the same adrenaline rush whether it was a championship game or a regular season game... but anyway, have you ever been in situations that get your blood pumping? :)

I was in our schools indoor drumline where we did covers of YES songs, and I had to play the solo in the End of Roundabout and the Lead guitar in Heart of the Sun Rise in the big competition infront of a huge stadium full of people. It was awesome.... Especially because I was wearing a suit and the wind was blowing my tie and hair all about it must have looked so sick lolol

This :D Im a Cymbalist for Jenison High School Drumline. Everytime we play a song, i feel the rush of that loud and fast pace music. And since we are cymbalist we get to do tricks and flips which are awesome!

Polishing up a 3D modeling project that's due in 2 days. It's good practice, but it's really hard on one's body.

An overweight guy was asking me out one time... I was trying to think of a way to let him down easy, but then some other jerk walking down the school's hallway pushed him and he fell on me. THAT was a lot of pressure.

its a sport where you are on the edge the whole time, football rugby and aussie rules have nothing on it, from the drop of the starting gate its a primal risk vs reward scenario which results in adrenaline, adrenaline and more adrenaline, regareless on whether your 1st second or last you want to win (unless you go out to muck around)

I played football in High School too, and I completely agree, there are only a few other things out there that give you a better adrenaline rush than playing on Friday nights.

Just getting out there, hearing the band play as everyone is so excited and getting ready..I was never nervous either, just so energized to get things going.

Damn, I miss it man :(

A friend of mine and I were in an extreme pressure situation that I'd love to describe for you, but I'm afraid it might get me modded, or worse. If not for a lucky split-second decision that I made, I'm pretty sure that we'd both be in jail right now. PM me if you really want to know. Makes me stomach turn just thinking about it.

No, I don't see myself having a future in it. I'm 6 foot tall, 200 pounds. I played center in high school. I probably would have to learn a new position if I wanted to play in college.

Damn your a big dude, but yeah, small for a college center.

I'm not going to do it..I had fun in high school, but thats it. Time to focus on college and my career. I was better with my studies anyway, and definitely cared about it more than football.

I'm to small anyway, I would get owned in college . I was 5'5'' 160lbs when I was in football shape. Now ~150.

I'm also better as a student. But yeah, in high school football I could away with being pretty small (compared to the defensive lineman) but athletic enough to make my blocks. That won't work in college... everyone is a beast, its just about who's the beastliest.

EDIT: But then again, I have a handful of former teammates who are going on to play in college, and I consider myself to have a better chance than them as players.

The only person I wouldn't be able to top is our runningback/safety.... he played in the All-American Bowl and is going to play for University of Oklahoma.

I dunno, but I'd like to know why people generalize so much though. My country takes school sports fairly seriously as well.

Mine too. Over here the sport is college basketball.
