I just watched The Frighteners and loved it! Michael J Fox and Jeffrey Combs were both great. It was a fantastic combo of comedy and horror and I reccomend it! Film-GuyI remember seeing a bit of that before...It's not bad.
Underrated: Leon. One of the best movies ever made (imo) and most people haven't heard of it. >.>
Four Rooms.
It rode on the wake of the epic Pulp Fiction, and almost like a sequel (but not at all), no one even noticed or cared about it.
10000 BC.. it was pretty good imoPremier1101
You don't deserve an opinion on movies if that's what you think! :x
:P No seriously, I thought it was awful. :|
Why did you like it? Wait, lemme rephrase that, what did you find good about it?

leon is a great choice, if you like leon you should check out La Femme Nikita.
I thought I Am Legend was pretty underrated.rockon1215
If anything I think that movie is overrated. It was pretty good for the first 20 minutes of so then when the monsters appeared it got much worse and by the time the girl and kid came it was terrible. Also they changed the genius tragic ending of the original book to a crappy hollywood ending, even the alternative ending was pretty bad.

I just thought the story was goodish, and some of the effects were good. But this was before I saw Apocalypto.

not the T.V series, the film from 1990. Same director as Leon.

Apocalypto is a great film, probably Mel Gibsons best movie he directed.

I didn't absolutely hate it.
wasn't that good though.
Is it called, "Nikita"? I remember seeing that in my search, and it was from 1990! I'll check again...not the T.V series, the film from 1990. Same director as Leon.

Yeah thats the one.
I'll definitely check that one out! If it's even close to being as good as Leon then I'll adore it! I appreciate the suggestion, cheers!
Alexander. I don't know why everyone hated it.SolidSnake35O Man you beat me to it. I don't understand why everyone bashed it, I loved it
Last Life In The Universe and Yi Yi -- I wouldn't call these underrated due to the amount of praise they get from the few that review the films, but they are severely overlooked.
However, contemporary Asian cinema in general is overlooked in the west (unless if it's horror), which I believe is very sad. The two I mentioned up above are only two great films out of the many great films that have come out in the last decade or two and I would highly recommend exploring beyond directors like Takashi Miike or Park Chan-wook.
True Romance, the best thing Quentin Tarantino has been associated with
Saving Private Ryan, lost the Oscar to Shakespeare in Love, which is almost as bad as Chicago winning it, and the fact that people don't consider it the greatest movie ever made, because it is
Terror Train, My Bloody Valentine, Silent Night, Deadly Night, Black Christmas, for all you slasher fans out there
What's wrong with Chicago winning Best Picture? That was a great movie.
And no way in hell is Saving Private Ryan underrated. That movie recieved nothing but praise, exactly what it deserved.
tales from the crypt demon night. awesome move. but i cant find it on dvd.nappy123qwe
that movie made no sense....whatsoever....:P

I'm not saying Chicago was a bad movie, I just think Gangs of New York should have won even though it had its flaws
I was just joking about Saving Private Ryan
A Scanner Darkly... that movie was genius.Ace_WondersX

doomsday was awesome.
High Noon- It recieves so much praise yet it seems so overlooked and rarley recognized by the general public who seem to prefer Leone and Fords classic westerns (understandably). Yet despite being so overlooked this may be my favorite western.
Kurosawa's Stray Dog and especially Throne of Blood are fairly overlooked films in Kurosawa's filmography
Vanilla Sky is underrated. I think its a very good film despite some pretty bad acting.
Shakespere in love seems to get alot of hate for winning best picture over saving private ryan but IMO its an awesome film.
Reds is a very solid epic and highly acclaimed yet I never hear anything about it.
Titus is a severly underrated film from the 90's
High Planes Drifter is an overlooked western
Gus Van Sant's Elephant also deserved more praise.
Maybe more of these are just overlooked rather than underrated but Oh well.
