http://ap.google.com/article/ALeqM5h002o_ai2v68s57ia6xLKXf-GZ5AD907765G0

A few Highlights:

"U.S. Army mechanical engineer was arrested Tuesday on charges he slipped ****fied documents about nuclear weapons to an employee of the Israeli Consulate who also received information from convicted Pentagon spy Jonathan Pollard, authorities announced."

"Prosecutors say Kadish, a U.S. citizen who worked at an Army base in New Jersey, took home ****fied documents for six years and let the Israeli photograph them in his basement. Those documents included information about nuclear weapons, a modified version of an F-15 fighter jet, and the U.S. Patriot missile air defense system. Kadish's apparent motivation was to help Israel, prosecutors said."

"A criminal complaint said Kadish confessed to FBI agents on Sunday that he had given the Israeli between 50 and 100 ****fied documents and accepted no cash in return, only small gifts and occasional dinners for him and his family."

Quite a bit more to the article. I suggest it be read in it's entirety. What I think is so disappointing regarding this document is how someone can live in this country. Serve in our army. While the entire time, have the interest of another nation as their main concern. It seems so two-faced and deceitful, it's disgusting.

I don't see the big deal considering the US pays Israel billions of dollars to build up their military. That's an even bigger crime.

I've known full well about underhand "military links" between the US for Israel for years. The fact that someone has finally gotten caught and some of it is now in the open won't change much.

The man is a disgrace to the nation, and the UCMJ will hammer his *** to the wall. We're in a time of war, it's an act of treason, punishable by death. I say do it. Those of us in the military know full well what we can do and what we can't. Let him fall hard imo.

You want to know something that is even more cheeky, the Israeli's are now asking the US to pay "aid" to Israel in Euros. Talk about beggars being choosers. The Israeli's don't want the incovenience of a fluctuating market and dollar devaluations.

There's definite military links between Israel and the US, no one can deny that. But the underhand part was basically a referenve, a kind way of saying, that there is an underground systemic link between the two nations that is not in the interests of the US. It's one thing handing money over to Israel it's yet another giving them information on your top secret missiles and nukes.

To even get access to such material you need other people to "help" you get the information you need. It would be almost impossible for one person to just waltz in and take pics of a US nuke without receiving authorisation from the top or having those around him turn a blind eye.

And as it states in the article, this isn't the first time a person has been convicted of spying for Israel whilst holding a prominent position in the US. This seriously goes beyond a few isolated incidents.

Not surprised. They're fully confident after years and years of getting "aid" that their demands will be readily met.

I think some people are getting confused here. This isnt a black ops thing, this isnt a government sanctioned action. It's not something Bush or Petrayes went into a dark alley and told this guy to do it. He's a *traitor*, not a bush goon caught in the act. There's a reason he is in trouble. And caught by a federal department, no less. I'd think a super-evil mastermind palpatine-esque bush could easily avoid the Fed's if he was up to his ol'e world domination/build-a-death-star schemes again.

Since 1985 there's agreement between Israel and USA that they won't use spies on each other and this spy worked in the early 80s and some sources claim that it's published now just because some guys over the FBI don't want to release Pollard (Bush wants to release him for Israel's 60 anniversarry) so now there's no chance he will get released (which me as an Israeli find it good! i don't want him to be released...).

They don't seem to need it, they already have a high-tech, well trained military.

I guess they'll take whatever edge they can find.

Anyway, Israel is being paid billions by the US anyway so why are they making such a big deal out of it.

This seems notoriously fishy.. Israel shouldn't have nuclear weapons to begin with, yet due to the United States they do.. So I highly doubt Israel would risk such things on their closest allie..

Notice how the U.S gives nukes to Israel but when any Arab nation (ie Iran) tries to get any sort of nuclear technology, whether it be for civilian or military purposes, they get squashed and critcized? Funding one side of a war much?

I don't understand what do u mean by "significance" but he was working at the Navy intelligence saw some docs that he thought they are critical for Israel so he went to someone from the Israeli intelligence - Lekem (IT'S NOT THE MOSSAD!) and he started giving them info for several years.

He should be tried for treason. Selling or passing US secrets to another sovereign nation is treason. Israel certainly does not have the US's best interests at heart.

It sounds to me like this guy is bein used as a govt patsie, there is no way on earth that a single man could get hold of top secret classified nuclear weapon details without some help much higher up in the command chain.

The US is the most secretive(paranoid) country on this planet so its beyond belief that the man was working single handedly. The fact that america has been supplyin Israel with weapons and cash for years makes the whole thing even more fishy.

A single man can easily get a hold of classified material. There were several traitors in the 80's and 90's that passed secrets to the USSR.

I don't know what the big fuss is. Israel's military is basically the extension of America's military.
