This is ridiculous!

I've seen that video quite a few times...its from 2007. I would assume that the technology has only gotten better since then.
Terminators have an endoskeleton.Gallion-Beast:roll: Skynet didn't start overnight. We're just walking down the path of our DOOM!
I don't find it that impressive.. I thought the fiber suits they were developing which is more or less a body glove that can actually increase their strength to be far more interesting and useful.. Increased strength means soldiers can move faster and not be buckled down by the wieght they are carrying.sSubZerOo:o Link?

They had this in the military channel or what ever.. Some people were creating fibers that supported wieght across a frame makign movement far easier.. And one day possibly enhancing strength completely.

No its a body glove fabric you would wear under your regular gear.. Like a wet suit...
RDR quote - "Soon there will not be a war we cannot win" GodofBigMacs
Really war with any major power cannot be won.. Seeing as nuclear weapons garentees mutally assured destruction.. Kind of the reason why there hasn't been a major war between two super powers or significant militaries since World War 2.

As I recall those suits where just very hypothetical, and we are just getting to the point of producing generic nano fibers.
This suit is very real on the other hand, and its improved brothers could hit the battle field in a few years.
I wonder exactly how maneuverable, expensive and reliable that thing will be once they strap on the armour plating and other necessary systems to make it a combat-worthy machine. It would most certainly need to have significantly better protection and firepower abilities than our "normal" unpowered soldiers, because it would be completely useless to the infantry if it didn't. However, armour is heavy (and costs a lot), a lot of mechanical parts lack the flexibility of our muscles and the mechanisms you'd have to strap on to support everything would add complexity, which would increase the chance of something critical breaking down.
