U.S vs U.K

Why do we always fight with eachother on the internet?

For some reason the U.K always makes fun of americans and they say they hate Americans and vice versa...this mostly goes down on the internet/console gaming...but arent we allies? why so much arguments with eachother?

Anyone know any main reasons? oh and i find it funny though when both sides tell eachother to learn how to speak english

Personally, I don't think thats particularly reflective about how much American and British Gamespotter thinks of each other. Chances, are its really the minority who are up to its ass in animosity for the other side. From what I can tell, we generally get along.

Everyone fights about everything, it happens even more online.

The British on the other hand view those across the pond as insular, misinformed, uncultured, crude, unintelligent and believe too much of their self-generating propaganda about their place in the hierarchy of the world.

The rest of the world hates us both.

The U.K. makes fun of the French in the same way for the same reasons.

But I do hear U.S. people on Xbox Live saying stupid idiotic things to the Brits more then I hear Brits say to Americans. It always seems to be someone from the South to. So anytime there is a southern person on Live the Brits usually make fun of that person. Probably because the southern accent is the most recognised American accent and they are always the ones more likely to say something retarded. Me personally I have been mistaken for a Canadian on multiple occasions.

i was once mistaken for being Canadian by an American and I'm from London lol other than that most Americans and Canadians i find to be nice i have a group of Friends i play on Xbox Live with who are from the U.S and Canada we make jokes about each others countries from time to time but its all good fun don't know many Aussies but maybe that's because there all in bed when I'm on lol .

Seriously though don't really see a problem with it. Most of the insults are only tongue in cheek at the end of the day. The world would be an extremely boring place if no-one was allowed to make fun of each other at all.

Meh. Some people argue on the internet and when they find out their nationalities then sometimes a bit of light racism will come into play. But yeah, Americans don't speak English. They speak American. :shock:

Idunno I love the British. They have good beer, we have good beer, and the majority of British people I meet are here on "holiday" (I love that term, so much better than "vacation") and come into my brewery, so we bond over some beer and exchange stories.

Fortunately, I am fairly liberal-minded so we can vent about how much we hate our government, and how they hate theirs, and then we say how much we love eachother's people.

Its all down to british humour. We rip everyone and anything because we find it funny. Most of us don't mean it :P

The UK 'hates' everybody. It's all in the name of fun, and jest so dont take it to heart. I mean, we even 'hate' ourselves for crying out loud! North hates south, south hates north, Scotland hates England, England hates Wales, Manchester hates Liverpool, London hates everybody and everybody hates Birmingham and Newcastle. :D But I have to say, I have seen threads where there are just some annoying Americans claiming they're country is great cause its 'big and beautiful' and listing all the propaganda taught in US schools. I try not to take the bait though... cause the UK doesnt need to prove its awesomness! :PHellsAngel2c
