I'm out of the loop - who does the US play in the Finals? msudude211Winner of Brazil and South Africa I believe.
Unfair? For those who didn't get to watch the game, what was unfair?WTF? :(,that was the most unfair result i've ever seen :|

It was a great game. They're both my favorite teams, so it was nice to watch.
Spain had a large winning streak come to an end. Shocking!
Some of the comments in the FIFA game summary are laughable. Luck luck luck... That's all it was, right guys? It wasn't the failure of Spain to finish their chances? It wasn't the US taking the opportunity to finish their chances, no matter how unorthodox the situation?
Bottom line is US won, even with the obligatory unwarranted red card...

Mate that red card wasn't unwarranted.. he axed our guy in there. clean game except for that one though. And even when a couple of Spain's attacks didn't finish in a goal just by god damn bad luck, I don't think someone can deny you put some superb defense, you had a couple of chances to score and you did it. in soccer you win by goals and you scored them. end of story. Some of the comments in the FIFA game summary are laughable. Hopefully so.Here's hoping the country take notice of the sport for a bit now that you guys are in the final.

Even the great teams can lose on any given day. Spain's still one of the best teams out there. It was nice to see them win Euro 2008 - they deserved it. Used to be big chokers, but hopefully with the Euro win that can carry them in the WC 2010.

...which the US team made sure to do.
As for that red card, I can't agree it was warranted. Axed nothing, he got all sorts of ball. The US team is notorious for receiving unwarranted red cards. I was foolish to think we'd get out of the game without one.
Well, if it were any other country, I guess I wouldn't care. But since the US is involved, well. . .
WOOO!! GO US! WE KICK ALL SORTS OF ASS AT EVERYTHING!

Don't celebrate too soon, you haven't won yet. ;)Brazil 3 -0 in the next one I bet. :([QUOTE="Got_to_go"]Don't celebrate too soon, you haven't won yet. ;)Well, if it were any other country, I guess I wouldn't care. But since the US is involved, well. . .

We haven't? Hmm. . .
Oh well.
SWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEET SWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEET SWEET VICTORY!!
*continues celebrating*
calm down mate is not like the world is against you.. at any rate and if you're gonna diss on the referee, there was 2 fouls against Spain in the US box that could have been easily marked as penalty kicks but the referee decided not to or he just didn't see the fouls....which the US team made sure to do.

that red card was as well deserved as your victory.

The US deserved this win, I completely agree there even though Spain didn't play badly today... But US lost 2 out 4 games in this tournament, they got through on a goal difference, while Spain hadn't let a single goal in until now... people have the right to act surprised, and I'm pretty sure some of them are pissed off because of the money they lost here :PI am so happy! This pretty much hands Brazil the cup! South Africa pose a threat, but nothing my B-boys can't handle and the US out-played Spain today but it really was a fluke win.
Not really. We still don't compete with the rest of the world on a consistent basis, but at least we are no longer a pushover.OWWW-YEAHHHHH BABY! So can we finally put this 'American is no good at soccer' BS to rest now?

I guess we'll have to agree to disagree. ;)

I understand. I just wish people could give the US the benefit of the doubt instead of getting all sore about it. Speaks to their feelings towards the US and soccer. Hope this earned us some respect points finally ;)

It did, the commentators over here have high hopes for you in the big world cup next year, don't disappoint ;)I understand.
